A wonderful collection of early modern art, mainly French but some wonderful international pieces, not least the four fabulous Marc Chagall paintings and a great Rothko.

This building really stands out from everything I have seen in Paris. The area around is also great for shopping and eating.

In my opinion Centre Pompidou is very well organised, offers unique pieces of art and is very interesting even for those who don't love modern art.
Free admission for under 26s from countries within the EU. Free on the first Sunday of each month. So if you are skeptical about this place, go there for free and then if you don't like it, at least you won't lose money. But I bet you will find at least one piece of art that will make you smile.

We went here after a miserable dinner at Benedict for a little drink on the rooftop. It was an amazing view of the City of Lights and not crowded, staff was attentive and eager to ensure a good time, AND we got incredible video of the disco lights on the Eiffel Tower. Nice find here. Oh, and you can eat here, too!

After all the Monets and Renoirs you've seen in Paris it's time to visit the museum that is going to make you question whether or not what you see is art .
Great place for people who (pretend to) love modern art and heaven for the hipster-friendly.
Anyway., If you passed the building and thought "that looks awesome OMG" you will propably appreciate the works inside.

extra tips *Go there hungry so that you have the chance to try this cute resto on the top of the building ;-) and have a nice view of the city
* go with a friend or alone and the guard might let you sneak into the temporary exhibition for free ( you didn't hear it from me)

1  Thank Evy E
