We stayed here for 3 nights in early June 2012, and paid 180 euro per night which included wifi and daily breakfast for two of us.

The check in process was straightforward, and all the front desk staff spoke good English. We were given a room before the official 2pm which was a bonus.

The room itself was rather small but adequate size, there's enough room to put 2 luggages and still walked around the room without tripping over ourselves. It is modern, clean and has big full length windows which be fully opened for fresh air.

Toilet and shower were clean and modern, with good supply of hot water and water pressure.

Daily breakfast consisted of a selection of cured meat, croissants, cholcolate danish and other pastries, yoghurts, toasts and jams, and cereals. Coffee was from fully automatic machine which was actually quite drinkable (better than most coffee from cafe/ coffee shops in UK). As a bonus, there's "open bar" from midday onwards with some snacks and soft drinks in cans available in the lobby area which you can help yourself to.

There are 2 metro stations (St Georges and Pigalle, on the same line) within walking distances to the hotel. The area is safe and quiet (at least in the evening and night time).

Overall, a very enjoyable stay and good value for money in Paris.

Hotel is not of quite to the same standard as the other Astotels. The design of the rooms and entry is modern and a minimalist. the rooms are spacious for this price range, and clean, with good beds and linen, and bathrooms new and functional. And the internet worked well which is not always the case with swisscom.

However room storage is limited in comparison to other astotels (no cupboard, just a free standing Ikea unit) and just one small shelf in the bathroom, with nowhere to leave the washbag except on the floor. This is unlike most other astotels which normally have more shelf space in the bathroom and also better decore than just stark hospital white for the bathroom. Also there is no radio in the rooms as there is in other astotels.

However the main problem was noise - there seems very little sound proofing between the rooms, and the door closers are strong, so when anyone on your floor leaves a room, you will know about it. Bad luck if you want to sleep in one day. You can also hear the TV and anyone talking in the next room. This is surprising as in the Joyce hotel across the road the sound proofing is excellent, and you almost never hear any other guests, or doors.

Breakfast is a buffet, but is ok, but again a little more limited that other Astotels, and the dining room a little small.

I like the Astotel chain in Paris, but this would not be my first choice of their hotels.

good location in 9th quarter (close to St. George metro). Very clean. Appealing modern decoration, looking and feeling new. small rooms as expected in Paris 3* hotel, but some rooms with a small balcony. sound-proof large and open-able windows. no view (view in front of their sister hotel rooms, Joyce). Very attentive staff speaking English. price is good for what you get. Reasonably good breakfast (no vegetables, though), and very important extra of free coffee/tea/soda and some snakes all day. A perfect 3* hotel in Paris.

Room Tip: 4th floor rooms with balcony in front (best room, # 404), and quieter backyard on back.

Pleasant hotel. Everything is new. Decoration is very discrete and pleasant.
Location is perfect around nice restaurants, pigalle bars (more decent place than some years ago) and shops (Bd Haussman). Do not expect large rooms in Paris for a 3 star. Very good choice.
