i liked this place, it was a little far from site-seeing things but a grocery & good bistro's are very close! The staff is very friendly & helpful. One of the tours they recommended was wonderful! It made the trip! The value is excellent for foot traveling! with kids(4 & 7) it is a bummer, the cab fees can be budget killers, but the safest way to travel long distances or night travel! i would stay there again! stayed 8-5 thru 8-6-13 & 8-20 thru 8-21-13

Room Tip: great staff, grocery close by

Something's got to give. This is a really great hotel just a couple of Metro stops from Mont Martre at a fantastic price. Why are people so surprised the area is a bit rough? Isn't that what Google Street view is for? We stayed here with our 2 young children and it was great for us. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean. We loved the fact there were pull out screens so we could divide the room and have kids half dark before we went to bed. Even though you are right next to a busy road the rooms are quite and blackout binds meant we all got a great night's sleep. The room was clean and it was good for us as a family that the toilet is separate from the bathroom. The fact that there is a separate bath and shower meant we could get ready quickly as adults could shower while kids were in the bath. As most reviews say the area is rough. The walk from the metro station takes you past the place where all the local rubbish lorries re stored and under motorway flyover where you can see there are homeless people living. Having said that this is a big city. We live in London and are fairly streetwise. The route from the hotel to the metro is always pretty busy right into the evening and we never felt at risk. Glamorous, no, but super easy for getting to the metro straight into Paris. There are shops around the station where you can pick up your supplies for the day much more cheaply than in central Paris. Yes, I wouldn't walk back to this hotel in the dark alone, but I probably wouldn't do that in any unfamiliar areas of a big city.
This hotel suited us very well and I would recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Our room was on the motorway side of the hotel, don't know what's on the other side so it might be better or worse! The motorway didn't bother us even though it was busy 24 hours a day.

Used as a base for a drive over family holiday to visit Paris attractions as well as EuroDisney.
Hotel is located about 15-20 minutes drive from central Paris but also has a local underground station within a 3 minute walk however, there are many a shady character on the way there as it involves walking underneath a busy motorway flyover which is often occupied by druggies as well as prostitutes. I was told that once the new Underground station was built, the general area would also improve. although i would still advise single female travelers to stay well away.
The rooms are spacious and ideal for families as they have a sliding partition between the double bed/en-suite and the pull out double/optional single and the toilet.
There is underground parking at the hotel but it is very expensive, hence why i chose to park my car on the side street in-front of the Ibis/Etap hotel morning and night which looks dodgy but nothing happened to my car during the 6 days we stayed at the hotel.
The breakfast was okay albeit on the expensive side, then again, it is Paris so its expected.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors as they are in-line with the motorway running adjacent and can transfer noise throughout the day
