We had five nights in Paris in mid July. Choosing a hotel in such a central area for such a reasonable price, we were somewhat fearful of what might be in store for us.
A friendly and sweet couple were at the desk when we trudged in with our luggage after walking from the St Lazare train. They were so accommodating during our stay feeding us a wholesome breakfast and helping us feel at home in their home town as we set forth on foot for most of our visit.
Indeed, we saw so much of our top "must sees" by walking that we barely used our Metro and train passes except to go to Versailles or to return to Madeleine station after our long walk got us too far and too tired.
Our gracious hosts were much more that M et Mme. Jean Patrick helped us a lot by email for several weeks prior to our departure for Paris. Sadly we were unable to meet the good gentleman but we left a good bottle of 30 year old Alberta whiskey for him and the owners to enjoy at their next party.
One regret was not spending more time with the folks at "La Maison Du Whisky", which is a few steps away.

I have written amazing reviews of this hotel before and they will keep coming. I have stayed here 3 times and would come back in a heart beat. This place is a fantastic little hotel owned by the nicest people in Paris. They are so friendly and helpful with anything and everything a person traveling in Paris might need. Restaurant bookings, tours, metro, general advice etc. The rooms are small and some are a little dated but they are always clean and with a view over the street, air conditioning and television they are very comfortable. The price is suitable due to the awesome location which is within close walking distance to Champs Elysee, Jardin du Tuilleries and the Louvre. The metro is at the end of the street as are great cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It will make your trip to an amazing city even more enjoyable.

Room Tip: If you have large bags ask to be no higher than the second floor as there is no lift available. A ro...

This is a delightful 30 room hotel in the centre of Paris. Everything is at your fingertips-restaurants from haute cuisine to cheap snacks, transport, shops, museums. Best of all your hosts and staff are genuinely warm, experienced, attentive and gracious. They do everything with style and sincerely love their city. The breakfasts are a treat with home baked pastries and jams, the rooms are typically 'city small' but well equipped, neat and clean. Each visit we note some improvement in the facilities; however, the warm personal attention cannot be bettered. This visit we stayed for four nights and are already planning our return. If you want value for money, a warm atmosphere and fine location, consider La Sanguine.

Room Tip: We have stayed in several of the rooms. As always, rooms at the back of hotels are quieter than thos...

We were in Paris in September and stayed for 3 nights at the hotel. It was a wonderful stay and we felt that the owners treated their guests like family.
Our room was spacious enough as we are aware that hotel rooms are small in Paris. There's wifi available. Mr Jean Patrick and Madame were extremely helpful, providing us with directions to all the places we wanted to visit. Breakfast was excellent - freshly-baked croissants and self-made jam & marmalade! We also had great interaction with their resident dog, Tokyo.
The location is right in the shopping area in Paris, within walking distance to the major shopping districts.
Will definitely return to the hotel the next time we visit Paris!

Visited the hotel with my girlfriend in September.

We generally used the hotel mainly for night sleep since we were sightseeing during the day.

Overall the experience was not that good.

I first want to emphasize that the family that own the place are lovely, always smiling and making you fell welcome. This is something important and we appreciate it dearly.

We stayed for 6 nights. In the first two nights we stayed in a very small room on the 4 floor (no elevator) and not only that it was small, since this is the top floor, the room ceiling had a slope that made it even smaller and more important, dangers if you wake up in the middle of the night a little hazy and forget the ceiling is very low and hit your head into it...

We asked to move to another room and Jean Patrick tried to help us as much as he could and moved us to the room behind the reception desk where we stayed for 4 nights. This room was bigger and without the ceiling problem of course (1st floor) but we soon realized that we can hear what was going on in the reception desk and the dining room and they can hear us. Very unpleasant and very limiting... It was good that we've only used the hotel for night sleep, I don't know what we would have done if we needed to be there during the day.

All and all, these are lovely people with very well located and clean hotel so I encourage you to visit them but make sure you're not staying on the 4th floor or behind the reception...

Room Tip: Make sure you're not staying on the 4th floor or behind the reception...

We stayed for 4 nights in September and were so pleased with the hospitality of the owners! So helpful with helping us find our way around the neighborhood. When we checked in, our bags were in our room before we had finished with the paperwork which was nice as there is no lift. The hotel is so centrally located near the Madeleine Church that we were able to walk everywhere. The room was small which is typical for Paris. We met some of the other guests who also offered advice and guidance to these Paris novices! Madame always had a friendly greeting each morning as did Tokyo-the resident dog. We enjoyed the breakfast offered for 10 euros which included fresh breads, fruits from the owners orchard, juice, coffee and homemade jams. We also ate at a cafe just down the street and around a corner which was very good.. They had a menu in English which was nice--L'Envue. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation and if I am lucky enough to return to Paris someday, I wouldn't hesitate to stay her again!
