I found the Hotel de la Sorbonne after doing quite a bit of research online. The hotel was excellent, with modern newly decorated boutique rooms, friendly staff and a great location. The hotel has is very central, located only a five minute walk from the Luxemborg stop on the RER line which brought us directly into Paris from CDG airport. Its location was very handy to the restaurants around boulevard saint michel and boulevard saint-gemain. The rooms where great value booking direct with the hotel website (www.hotelsorbonne.com). The IMAC in the room was excellent and very easy to work either as a computer or a TV. I do not have any hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. Will be back for sure.

My husband and I recently took a weekend break to Paris to watch some tennis at Roland Garros. We decided to take a risk and save some money on a hotel room. Usually we try to stay at 4 star hotels but because of the tennis hotel rates were increased. This hotel is only 2 star, but it was fantastic. It was clean, bright, average size for a hotel room in Paris, the bathroom was small but did the job. Usually I am a room service junkie and I LOVE hotel bars, this hotel had neither, but I didnt miss them much. There was no ice machine or ice available to us, that was disappointing, but the really nice desk clerck offered to put our wine in thier fridge. Anytime we came up with an issue, either the kind staff or amazing location made up for it. Plus the imac in the room!!! WOW. We loved no having to tote our laptop with us. I would definatly recommend this hotel to any of our friends who are looking to stay in a great location for a good value.

I stayed at the hotel with my 5-year-old daughter, with a friend who brought her 5-year-old as well. Although the hotel doesn't particularly cater to children, we really enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome. They even arranged for a babysitter. Our rooms were of decent size, with two single beds pushed together to make a double. Very cool design in the rooms.

It's so centrally located, near the Luxembourg Gardens and walkable to Notre Dame, the Marais, even the 1st with the Louvre. We walked everywhere and had breakfast every morning in a square half a block toward the Seine, where the children could run around and we could have coffee and croissants.

I would definitely return to the hotel, but most likely come with a partner rather than a child, as the setting is quite sexy.

The Macs in the room were great for browsing, watching TV and DVDs, although we had a problem with DVDs getting stuck and having to restart the machines to get them to eject.

Clean, affordable, well-located and friendly. Very nice indeed.

this was a great hotel for the money. the location is perfect for paris, you really can't do much better. close to food, museums, the seine, everything. and very close to jardin du luxembourg, which is an amazing spot to sit and drink a coffee, especially early in the morning. the rooms are small, but organized so that i felt i had more room than in large hotel rooms--i am specifically talking about the bathroom here. though, the shower is small, if you are of a rounder figure, it's going to be a tight fit! that said, the design was great, the reception was great, and i wish i stayed longer.....

We stayed here for 3 nights and could not fault it at all. The hotel is beatifully decorated and the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Our room was on the fourth floor and, whilst being on the small side, was scrupulously clean, well laid out and decorated to a high standard. Our room was cleaned daily and clean towels left. The shower was a really good size and very powerful. We did missed tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the lift was tiny, but these are just minor niggles and did not spoil our stay at all.
