Recently i stayed at hotel soft with my family for 4 days and it was incredibly hot in both rooms that we were allocated, there should have been air con as the fans were really noisy and in the end you are just circulating hot air. The room are small but they do their job and are nicely decorated but they do look a bit tired. One of the bathrooms was in need of a bit of TLC and there was a dirt on one of the pillowcases. The receptionist on duty was frosty during the day, but the person who took over from him in the evenings was lovely, really helpful and willing to go the extra mile.
The breakfast spread was adequate with toast, salami, cheese, croissants and cereal- it would have been nice to have a hot breakfast option, but the dining space is small again and you are crammed into what is effectively a wide corridor, so i can't imagine what the kitchen is like... By the fourth day all of us were getting incredibly tired of the breakfast.
Location wise, it is good, its not central Paris, but it has good transport links and the metro is incredibly quick around Paris anyway that we didn't mind that we didn't have a view of the main sites. Its in a slightly dodgy area so be careful at night.More
