We took a food and drink walking tour of the Marais today (after having wandered through the neighborhood a few days back) and just fell in love with it. Specialty shops everywhere, more diversity than on the left bank, a vibrant Jewish area, street art, LGBTQ-welcome spots, markets... I highly recommend visiting the Marche des Enfants Rouges as well as Barthouil (for smoked salmon, duck confit, and other like specialities), the Rue des Rosiers and falafel at L'As du Fallafel. The puff pastries at Popelini are ethereal. Just meandering through the streets of Les Marais is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
