Owner description: Located on a land-filled swamp, this revitalized neighborhood, once a center of high culture, fell into disrepair following the French Revolution, but has regained prominence.

in this area you will see one of the oldest house, lots of museums, and very nice restaurants and bars. This area is special for open mind people because its also called gay area. There are lots of gay bars but not only that. Everyone can be sure that is welcome. And what I recommend to visit is LA RUE ROSIER, this street is very special because you can see the Jewish area and taste the delicious speciality called falafel...

Where to find all these little objects that complete your interior? In the Marais in Paris. Take a look and stroll the boutiques between the Centre Pompidou and the Place des Vosges.

It felt like Greenwich Village in NYC. The streets curve and people watching is fun too. They have many small shops, with unique items.

A wonderful neighborhood with great food, small shops, and steps away from Ile St. Louis, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, etc. Le Marais during the Music Festival is a blast. A neighborhood enlivened both by the young people it attracts and its rich history.

Lovely place, with many shops and eateries. Stop at a bakery and get a Christmas log for the holidays or delicious pastries to enjoy your walk. As you find interesting buildings, always try to go inside as you may be surprised by amazing mansions covered by their facades. The best way to get to know this area is by walking so I a, not recommending any specific place. Just walk around, discover, enjoy and relax.
