The Hotel Collectionneur Arc du Triomphe is the ideal hotel for a girls’ weekend in Paris! We booked a “Superior Double Double Room” for 4 of us and were very comfortable. Rooms: clean, well designed, good bathroom, comfortable beds, international television channels. View onto a stylish garden courtyard and we could see the tip of the Eiffel Tower twinkling in the distance.

The VIP lounge was the highlight for us – we were upgraded courtesy of our online travel agency and enjoyed the private lounge. The wait staff were very friendly, the food was generous and tasty and the drinks selection was very good too. We sat on the terrace sipping champagne and playing the board games provided by the lounge, flipping through their newspaper and magazine selection and [as ladylikely as possible] gorging ourselves on pastries and hors d’oeuvres. Well worth it if you can purchase this as part of your weekend!

The other important features: knowledgeable and friendly concierge team; well-equipped business centre; and free wi-fi in the rooms and public areas. A cool thing to look at is the -1 level women’s bathroom near the conference rooms: the blue and gold mosaics and Medusa-like sinks and mirrors are mesmerising.

Room Tip: Choose floor 4, 5 or higher so that you can see the Eiffel Tower in the distance and also to have a...

We recently stayed for 4 days for vacation in July. We splurged and got an exectutive room with a balcony that had a view of the Eiffel Tower. While it was pricy, the room was very large with a king bed and a very large bathroom with both shower and tub. We also enjoyed the access to the executive lounge for breakfast each morning and was a nice place to go to unwind after a day of sight-seeing or shopping .

We didn't eat any other meals at the hotel so I can't comment on the restaurant but we did enjoy drinks in the bar which was a good atmosphere. Everything else in the hotel was top quality. Very clean rooms and facilities. We found the bed high quality for a comfortable, quiet sleep. Staff very helpful and attentive.

Two observations (not critisms) to consider though for this hotel as it is pricy.

First is that it is quite removed from many of the traditional tourist area hotels. That can be good if you want to go back to your hotel and relax and avoid these but it meant we were taking taxis more often right from the hotel. You can walk to the Metro (5 minutes) or to the Arc de Triomphe/Champs Elysees in about 10 minutes. These are easy walks in the day time but because the hotel is not in a busy tourist area, some might find the walk at night less comfortable as there aren't many people on the street. There are a few restaurants close by but not the usual dozen restaurants/cafes within a 5 minute walk that you can get in other parts of Paris.

Second comment and I saw this on some of the posts is that because it is a big hotel, it has a busy lobby. It seems to cater to bus tours and so the hotel lobby and elevators were often busy with people arriving or collecting for tours and so if you need to access consierge or front desk at these times, it can be slow. The hotel should probably consider a separate area to assist people on the tours like many hotels do. For the price we were paying, it was a little frustrating to find we were suddenly 30 people deep in line for service.

Overall, a very nice stay but consider if you want quiet rooms and excellent food or a lively tourist location with a lively restaurant/cafe atmosphere. It is a great hotel for the former but you should go somewhere else if you want the latter.

This is a perfectly fine hotel in paris but definitely NOT a 4 or 5 star luxury property. Photos overstate the décor of the hotel. Not a perfect location as it was a 15 minute walk to the Arc de Triumph. It is a VERY large hotel and there was always a line to speak with the concierge. Sometimes there would only be one concierge on duty and at most 2. Definitely understaffed for the number of rooms and they certainly did not provide personalized service. The first night after our overseas flight, the concierge booked a dinner reservation for in a bistro that was a 40 minute 30 euro cab ride away. Very poor judgement - we arrived at the bistro only to find that our reservation was for the following night. They did not inform us how far away it was or how expensive it would be to get there.
The main reason we booked this hotel was because we wanted two double beds for our family. It was more like a run of the mill Hilton than the art deco palace they advertise.

I booked two nights in this hotel in the middle of March 2013. We arrived very late at night, just after midnight, and check in process was very quick and painless. We found the location very convenient. Metro was less than 5 minutes walk and even Eiffel Tower was walking distance (around 30 minutes). Room wasn’t large but had really nice art-deco decor. There was enough space for suitcases and belongings. I loved the green marble sink, it looked very luxurious. But the best feature in the whole room was bed. It was a king size one and really comfortable. But the whole hotel had quite luxurious feel. Hotel lobby with the beautiful chandeliers are the first thing you would see after stepping in. We had breakfast included in our package and we were never hungry. Breakfast was a buffet style with hot food also available. We also visited spa with Jacuzzi and saunas. I think we went there during the rush hour and it got a bit crowded but nevertheless we enjoyed it. They also offer a little refreshment there like drinks and munchies. But the best thing about this hotel is its staff. Everyone was very helpful and I would also like to thank you to all of them again as we were able to stay in our room till 14:00 at our last day without any extra charge. My boyfriend had a temperature and it really helped him to stay in bed until we had to leave to catch a train back home. This hotel is not for a budget travellers but if you want to treat someone special and you can’t go wrong with Hotel du Collectionneur!

Excellent stay. On the expensive side of things but you get more than what you pay for. Room service is good too. Offering excellent refreshments at executive floor restaurant during afternoons/ tea time. Take a moment to indulge. Bar at lobby is excellent too. Light bites offered there must be tried. Service at bar was good. To top it all off theres this hottie working at the bar. Remember to tip the barmaid lads! Spa was nice too.

Room Tip: Get the grilled cheese and turkey sandwich from room service if you are a sandwich kinda person. You...

We stayed here for 4 nights in May and were very impressed with our surroundings. We were able to walk to the Arc de Triomphe, Champs d'Elysees and the subway station. Our rooms were beautiful, the only problem being there was no air conditioning, but the staff made up for that inconvenience. All very helpful, easy to communicate with and anxious to please. We were impressed also with the Executive Floor and all it provided: beautiful rooftop views, comfortable areas to sit and relax, snacks and drinks. The buffet breakfasts were incredible and service in the restaurant was exceptional. We enjoyed our stay. Maybe we will get to return again one day.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms tend to be noisy at night. Unfortunately, other guests did not respect the comforts...
