“Great location and friendly staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2011

I loved it. I think that the staffs were really nice and friendly, and the room was big. Although the elevator is really small, it really wasn't a big problem because we lived on the second floor and we just used the stairs.
The location is really great and you can walk to famous locations like Galerie lafayett, opera house, and the Louvre.
It is also really close to many metro stations which was very convenient.

We stayed at Hotel Concortel for 3 nights mid-July 2011and really enjoyed our stay. The Hotel Concortel was a lovely, comfortable hotel in a great location, all the major sites are within walking distance, the furthest away being Eiffel Tower, but you could use the Metro or the open top tour buses. It's well worth going right to the top of the E. Tower and if you're afraid of heights, like I am, it actually feels more secure at the top than on the 2nd floor as at the top it is completely enclosed with windows. The staff were really helpful and did everything the could to ensure we had a lovely break, recommending lovely restaurants, metro lines and giving directions, especially Yannick. We e-mailed the hotel prior to our arrival and they organised transport from the airport which was great, they also organised the return journey. I read one review previously which said there was not a lift in the hotel, but there is a lift. We didn't have tea bags in our room but reception gave us plenty, nothing was a problem for the staff and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Booked 2 rooms for family for 4 nights. Rooms for 2 persons was in deplorable condition and stank. Complained about it and after much bother was given another room for 1 night only and the manager insist that we have to move back to original room. After threatening to cancel entire reservation, the management finally agreed to change room for rest of the stay. Not too service oriented and rooms are not to expectation.

Located five minute walk to Place Madeleine , and/or Gare St Lazarre; ten to Galleries Lafayette. short walk to Place de Concorde. Metro stops close in several directions. I stayed ten days-end of March and beginning of April. I plan to be in Paris September 2011 for 12-13 days and will stay at Concortel again. I stayed at a hotel in the Rue Cler area in Sept 2010, the hotel was twice as expensive and not as nice.

We stayed here for three nights and there are good and bad things about Concortel. The location is exceptional! Walking distance from most of the major attractions in Paris and close to the Metro and public transportation. The continental breakfast at 10 euros is fine, wonderful coffee and fresh juice, a croissant, a roll and a slice of cake is reasonable. No restaurant otherwise on site but close to many restaurants and brassieries.

The staff is good, accommodating and helpful. Wifi was available throughout and you just needed to get the access code from the front desk daily.

Now, the room. It was terrible! There was a musty smell and the decor was shocking! It reminded me of a roadside motel. Paint was peeling in the shower and the toilet - large chucks of paint. The toilet was across the room from the shower/sink so you had to cross the room to wash your hands after using the toilet (which would not flush properly). Two chairs were in the room, one had split upholstery and should really be replaced. The key to the room was not working properly and it was an effort to get in. The floors creaked and were uneven (and for lack of a better description, felt mushy) and you could hear every step from above - and the shower next door - and the talking...it was not quiet at all! The bed was uncomfortable and we did not sleep properly for the entire three nights.

A kettle and instant coffee/tea is provided but the lime green and pink plastic cups are horrendous and there was no milk/whitener available.

In my opinion hotel is nicely located, we could visit all the attractions of Paris by foot (with a pushchair and nearly 2 year old child). They have baby cots and we've stayed in one of deluxe superior room (2 rooms without door on the groundfloor, view on the Patio. It is the room number 01), it worked for us, we had 1 bedroom just for us and baby in a cot in the same apartment, plus big bathroom and separate toilet.
Prices are a little bit negotiable if not in a season, so always worth asking. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful too.
I can recommend for short stay, definitely.

My Holiday in Paris was wonderful due to the fabulous location of this hotel. The great service, and extra care from the magnificient Hotel Staff. They went the extra mile for providing excursions, taxi, shuttles, recommending terrific dining locations. Made all reservations, and spoke perfect English- to assist my lack of perfect French. Communication was no problem & they met all my needs above & beyond. My Penthouse Suite was grand, with a terrifc view of the morning and night sky and street life. Making plans to return to this Hotel very soon.

Room Tip: e-mail or call front desk-see photos on line.
