“Great little budget hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2011

Stayed 3 nights in Paris France Hotel.

It is a good little budget hotel.

The rooms are on the smaller side, but that is to be expected in Paris for 95 euro a night. Totally adequate for two people.

Staff friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed. Room very clean and towels changed daily.

Only complaints would be no bar fridge in room and no shower curtain. But these are not a huge deal considering price.

Location is walking distance to several tube stops and the louvre.

Would stay again if on a budget.

This hotel was very good and clean. The room and bathroom were tiny, but adequate for my husband and I for our honeymoon. The bed was also small.

They do have a lift but again tiny, only one person with a bag can fit.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great, close to the Republique train station and the Temple station.

If you kept the window open at night it was very noisy, but if closed it was OK. Free internet available in your room which was great for us. No breakfast included however.

I have stayed here before, so I would stay here a third time.

Room Tip: Single room on the top floor on the corner.

We stayed at the Paris, France hotel for a week in early May. On the plus side, the rooms are very clean and very quiet, we never heard a sound from any of our neighbours. The staff are pleasant and helpful with any request. On the down side, there is no safe in the room, we were unable to get the air conditioning or the internet to work in our room. There are few TV channels and the one we were most interested in had intermittment signal interruption every 2 or 3 minutes during our entire stay. The subway station is right there which is very handy. The common room is not used and there is really no possibility of visiting with any of the other hotel guests. If you want an evening aperitif you will want to walk across the street to the Temple Bar. On balance, there was nothing seriously wrong with the hotel, but nothing particularly special to recommend it. I wouldn't object to staying here again but wouldn't make a point to seek it out. For the price, there are many options in Paris to choose from.

Room Tip: Ask for 6th or 7th floor with balcony.

We were persuaded to stay here by friends and would normally have chosen four or five star. The hotel is most definetely two star however it is a good two star. The rooms are clean but basic. The bathrooms have no luxuries but are clean. Our room did have a somewhat fragrant toilet which was not welcome.
Choose your room wisely as many of them overlook a church whose bells toll every fifteen minutes from about 6am till 10pm. This kept our friends awake.
The major downside was breakfast which was of very poor quality. Literally a croissant, a bread roll and some jam all served in a souless room. There are better offerings on the street.
Another downside was soundproofing. We could literally hear everything the couple in the next room were saying.
The location is ok with a couple of metro stops nearby and the staff were friendly.
Would we stay again? Probably not but only because we like peace and quiet when it comes time to sleep plus a few luxuries.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the church

If you are looking for a centrally situated, reasonably priced hotel, the Paris France is a good choice. This two-star hotel offers good accommodation, certainly not luxurious but remember you are not in Paris to stay in your hotelroom. Rooms are of standardsize, some rather small but not bad. In the bathroom no shampoo, a small piece of soap only. Every day towels were refreshed. The Rue Turbigo is noisy and has quite some traffic. This makes it not possible to sleep with open windows. Very nice and helpful staff at the front-desk. Breakfast typically French: simple. The Marais area is a very nice part of Paris, full of character and restaurants.

If you're looking for a clean, bare-bones hotel, this would be a good choice. If your budget allows you to add some charm and comfort, however, look around. The rooms, including the bathroom, are tiny, and the only chair is a small desk chair; however, the small rooms are spotlessly clean. The hotel is near a metro stop, but you'll have to transfer at least once to get to any spot you're likely to want to visit. The neighborhood is a little iffy (noisy and not very clean), but you can find some decent restaurants if you walk three or four blocks. There are few amenities (no shampoo provided, hair dryer worked only intermittently), but there is free Wi-Fi, which may be more important than shampoo. The breakfast room was being remodeled, so breakfast (standard French fare of juice, coffee, bread, and croissant) was served in the basement--a little overpriced, but of pretty good quality. The staff was helpful. Not a hotel one can rave about, but neither is it necessary to warn people to stay away from it.
