I spent seven days three years ago in a double room. Hostel facilities are very basic and not very new. In the kitchen, sometimes you had to wait in line for the knife and fork. Poorly equipped kitchen. General impression average.

Attention!
I've never seen a place so dirty and disgusting in my life!!!!!
the bathrooms are always dirty, the bath is allowed only by small jets of water, young people do not rent the sheets, and the mattresses and pillows stinks!
is not allowed to enter the hostel between 11h and 16h, so that the cleaning is done. (which?????)
and the most receptionists are rude!

Room Tip: Avoid this place!!!

During our entire Eurotrip, this was the most expensive of all the places we stayed at and perhaps the biggest letdown of them all. The rooms are all right but could have been a lot better. There was no fan nor AC in the rooms so it gets really hot in the peak of summer. There is a lock out between 11 and 4, which means that you can't get an afternoon nap if you want one and are forced to stay out all day. The bathrooms are by far the most disappointing - bad lighting, too small even for one person and a horrible shower. Wifi wasn't working in the rooms and you had to come down to the main reception area - which gets really really crazy in the morning with everyone rushing down to leave their bags in the luggage rooms.

Good location as the hostel is close to a metro and not very far from the Eiffel Tower. Wish they would do more for the upkeep of the hostel and it would be much better. Really not the best experience.

BAG WAS STOLEN FROM LUGGAGE ROOM! Do not think this luggage room is safe. The key system for the room keys was broken so this hostel was very unsafe overall. There are no lockers to lock your valuables and only a small space behind the desk to keep valuables. The security cameras are a waste as staff does not review them upon luggage being stolen. Save yourself the trouble!

Hostel staff is anything but friendly! Lounge area is always packed full of people considering its the only place where the wifi works. Rooms and bathrooms/showers were dirty, looks as if the last time they cleaned was when they first opened. I barely slept a wink in fear of bed bugs that I had read from previous posts. Basically the only thing good about this hostel is location and the color scheme, although terribly painted! The only thing they have put money into is the public computers (half do not work correctly anyway)

Room Tip: Find a different hostel!!!

Glad I didn't have to stay more than a night. Staff were incredibly rude, beds were uncomfortable, with no safety bar on the top bunk, so you have to just hope you don't roll-over in the night, and the showers were pretty bad, and very wet, so you can't change inside. Also, there was about 1 shower and 2 toilets per floor, (with some toilets not even having a handbasin), so it's not convienent to shower or use the bathroom.

On the plus side, there is free wifi, and the room is cheap - so you get what you pay for.. and nothing more!

As others have mentioned, the showers are gross, tiny, give you 5 second bursts of hot water. It's close to impossible to change in the shower area itself as the room is tiny and the whole area is wet. The rooms were below average and need an upgrade. The front desk staff and people I met at the hostel were all very nice. Typical hostel vibe with drinks, movies, wi-fi in the common area. Had a great time in Paris overall but will find a different hostel in the future. This place is close to the metro, restaurants and shops, and it's a 20-30 minute walk to Eiffel Tower or Lux Gardens in the other direction. Being out of the room from 11-5 for lockout is probably a bit much. Also, I went back 10 mins early one day and the cleaner was in my room reading my Lonely Planet....umm, that's not cleaning!
