This is my second time at the Albion and we stayed for 10 nights in Oct 2013. The next time we return to Paris, we will certainly be back. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the location very convenient and the staff helpful and professional. Special thanks to Henri and Zorana who went out of their way to making this stay in Paris memorable! Henri fascinated us with facts about Paris and suggested many cool places to visit around the city. If you happen to come across him, chat him up; he’s an amazing guy! Zorana was so helpful in directing us around the neighborhood and goes out of her way to answer every question we had. The Albion really has an excellent team working there and they really do make guests feel welcome and comfortable.
We took advantage of the breakfast on 2 occasions and found it to be ample and filling. It was a good spread of hot food (eggs, bacon, ham) and cold dishes of cold cuts, cheese, bread, butter, yogurt, etc. Most mornings we either woke up too late or wanted to get started on the day early and skipped breakfast. For those who don’t want to spend that amount on breakfast, there are plenty of establishments on Rue Notre-Dame de Lorette and Rue des Martyrs where you can get coffee and a quick bite.
On this stay, our room on the 4th floor faced the street side but we did not find the street noise bothersome. The room had basic amenities like a small refrigerator, safe for valuables, and AC unit, which helped make it more comfortable as Paris was surprisingly warm when we were there in late October. The bathroom was clean with nice towels, the beds comfortable and overall the room had a very cozy feel. Perhaps my only complaint about the room was the wifi signal was very weak on the 4th floor but it wasn’t a big deal, as I just went down to the lobby to send emails and surf the web.
The location of the hotel is very convenient. There are 2 metro stations in close walking distance, and the 67 bus stop is right around the corner so we were able to get around very easily. As for food, there is a Carrefour right across the street so we were able to buy drinks and snacks and plenty of restaurants and bakeries on Rue des Martyrs.
We will certainly be back to Paris for another visit and we will stay at the Albion.
