“Nice hotel for the value”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

We stayed in Paris for 10 days as tourists. The hotel perfectly served its purpose, which was a place to crash after long walking day. The room was very small but we had everything we needed such as queen size bed, flat screen TV on the wall, well functioning shower with w/c and small closet for shirts. The hotel and room was clean, noise free and provided free breakfast but we never ate there as we preferred restaurants and cafe on the streets. The hotel is very conveniently located 5 min walk from subway which you can take to anywhere in Paris. For example it was only 20 min ride to Eiffel tower. We felt safe walking at night from subway to hotel as nearby restaurants were always open and lots of people sitting outside eating, very tourist friendly location. Gare Du Nord is also nearby, 5 min drive on taxi so it is very convenient getting from airport to hotel as you can take the train from Charles De Gaulle airport all the way to Gare Du Nord and then taxi to the hotel (5 min). We took eurostar train to London from Gare Du Nord so it was perfect location for us. If you would like to go to club then I recommend Barrio Latino. Its a short drive on taxi from hotel and the club is very nice with dance floor, bars, restaurant and VIP lounges. Don't forget to visit Musee du Vin, their wine tasting, cheese plate and Foie grass dinner is to die for.
Overall, if you are looking a place to sleep with convenient access to train and subway then you should stay in Coypel.

Room Tip: we stayed on 3rd floor, queen size. It was perfect.

We stayed at this hotel for my first visit to Paris beginning of September.
My husband took a shower and laid his watch on the wash basin in the bathroom and forgot to put it back on. We came back that evening and it was gone. We reported to reception and was told to write a report and bring it back. We did that and it is end of October and now they have called us liers and will not replace the watch. we sent them a copy of his passport, drivers license, email address and the receipts for the watch, which was an anniversary gift.
They say it has never happened to anyone in 20 years!
I am disgusted with the attitude of all the people involved. They were arrogant and do not want to deal with anyone.
Please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Unless you want your things stolen and then be called a lier.

The hotel is located close to Place d'Italie and the metro. Clean, large rooms and good value for money. Good location. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Easy access to the tourist locations within Paris via the metro.

Travelled as two couples, but only one deluxe room available. It was much bigger and better than the other room, particularly the bathroom. It's a good location for me, I like the ambience of this arrondissement with its cinemas and brasseries. Ok it's a metro/bus or taxi ride from the tourist attractions but that is not a problem. Breakfast is dear, double the price charged by two Cafes literally next door. Everything was very clean, the lift is small but functional and the staff friendly. Excellent value, we'll go back if deluxe rooms are available.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms are a must!

Decent budget hotel but a long metro ride from anything in Paris. Metro is only two blocks away but at night it might as well be under the building (and may be it is). Constant rumble of metro trains all night even on the 6th floor. Our bathroom was good size for Europe but the shower was not (a lot of floor space in the bathroom you might think they would spring for a shower 6 inches bigger). Breakfast was not included (typical of a hotel in Paris) but for about $10 (American) I think they should have more than coffee, juice, cereal (with HOT milk) and day old french bread. Just go down the street to the local pastier shop and get a big piece of great quiche, two croissants with chocolate and a drink for $7

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else..........

I stayed here in the summer of 2012 as part of a trip I took with students (I shared a room with another chaperone). We had a fine experience at this hotel and it is very typical for what you can expect at a 2 star hotel in Paris. The furnishings aren't much and it's not fancy in any way, everything is very small. The staff was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was great! In my opinion, you need a very good breakfast to start a busy day of sightseeing in Paris so this did the trick! The location (Place d'Italie) is far away from most touristy things, so you won't be at the hotel in or in the neighborhood much if you're planning to do the typical stuff (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, islands, etc). But, there are some really great, small restaurants near the hotel, so go exploring the neighborhood around dinner time! I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is an experienced budget traveler!

Room Tip: The street noise can be a bit much on the lower floors, there's no A/C so you'll need the wi...

I picked this hotel based on previous reviews and was not disappointed. We booked a triple room and a double, but since one person backed out I requested them for 2 doubles with a connecting door, but they could not arrange for that though I sent them a mail 3-4 days in advance.
The rooms are small and do not have a fan or an AC. but it was cool if you opened the windows.
We were on the 3rd floor and though we slept with the windows open, we did not get disturbed with any street sounds. The hotel does have literally a small elevator but it does serve its purpose. It also had a very small bathroom with a shower area. There was no problem with hot water. We did not have breakfast at the hotel @ 8 euros for a cold breakfast did not seem worth it.There is a nice cafe just outside the hotel that has some great food and has very friendly staff. you could also visit Mccafe or KFC which is just a 5 min walk from the hotel. The Hotel is close to the metro, if you have to book tickets you have to use the entrance near Mccafe.
The thing you have to look out for is the french windows, if you have small kids like me who like to climb. we put our suitcases against the windows to prevent him from climbing over.
Over all the hotel was just what we wanted, budget, location and quiet.
