After much searching for a hotel in a good safe location , with good restaurants within walking distance, easy to get to from the metro. This ticks all the boxes, the interior decor is very Scandinavian, staff very attentive and polite. It could go on. I will certainly stay there again . And will recommend to our friends

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and would like to share the following observations, firstly the Hotel itself is a little difficult to find, having only a single door entrance on the main road. Once inside the hotel is a “boutique” style and period decorated, the reception is on the first floor accessed via a spiral staircase, and this can be a little difficult with heavy / large cases.
The rooms as with many city centre hotels are very small, and possibly with too much furniture for the room size, but this is the city centre and the room size is reflected in the price.
The breakfast is continental and is served in the reception area which at times can be a little crowed, but there is plenty to eat and it is all of good quality.
The staff is very helpful and speaks good English
The major plus for this Hotel is the location right in the heart of the Latin Quarter whilst also being on the main road.
All in all if you are looking for a short break hotel you would struggle to find better at the price.

Room Tip: 4th floor rooms are a little larger

This was our 6th time in Paris for a weekend break and this was by far our favourite hotel. It was so easy to find. The Metro station is outside the hotel, the RER station is just across the road.

We found the hotel to be spotless and the room, although small enough, was nicely decorated. There was a great shower room with plenty of towels and a hairdryer.

The breakfast consisted of cereals and toast, juices and boiled eggs at the self-service table. A friendly lady brought individual trays of tea/coffee, yogurt, croissants, baguettes, jams and cheese to each (small) table.

We didn't find that having to leave our key at reception on leaving was a problem, the desk was always manned. The gentleman on reception was very helpful with directions.

There is a great buzz around the area and we felt very safe wandering around. We will definitely be back, we're just sorry we didn't discover it before now!

We stayed here for 3 nights (360 euros) in March 2014. It's in a fantastic location, less than 2 minutes walk from the Seine on the corner of boulevards Saint-Michel and Saint-Germaine so right in one of the coolest part of Paris with lots of bars and cafes in all directions!
Cluny-La Sorbonne Metro station is in the street right outside and Chatelet Metro station is a short walk across the river.
The fifth-floor room (507) was much smaller than the ones pictured on the hotel's website but was adequate and absolutely spotless with a fab comfy bed, lots of pillows and fine bed linen.
We had a lovely little balcony and had no problem with traffic noise from the street below.

The staff were friendly and spoke good English and the small reception area/breakfast room/tv room was quite welcoming with fast free internet for guests to use.
Contrary to what other reviewers say, we did not find the spiral stairs to the first floor reception any problem at all.
We didn't try the breakfast (12 euros or 15 euros in the room) so cannot comment.
We would definately stay here again...and I would totally recommend Hotel Cluny Square.

Room Tip: Rooms facing onto Rue de la Harp (the small street on one side of the hotel) are quieter than the o...

Check in was quick, but the reception staff are not what you would call friendly. You have to leave your key when you go out of the hotel and if you do try to leave with your key, they shout after you to return and leave it. This was rather an odd thing to have to do we felt. Also when you return to the hotel, if there is another guest talking to the receptionist, you have to wait to get your key instead of going up to your room as you would in a "normal" hotel situation. This was quite annoying and you felt like you had to report in all the time.
The room was small but it was very clean, and was kept nice and clean throughout our stay, although once you had used your 2 small bars of soap that was it, no replacements!
Breakfast was better than I expected, you get a Continental breakfast served to you on a tray, but it is served in their "room" which gets busy and doesn't seem to have enough seats for all the guests, and the chairs are like lounge chairs so you end up eating all huddled up.
The location is good, close to the Metro, St Germain and the Latin Quarter.
Whilst the hotel was ok, we would probably look for another hotel next time.

It is situated in a great location, close to restaurants, metro station and short walks from many sights. Good room, well decorated, very clean but a little bit noisy.
The negative thing for me was the attitude of receptionis. Was arrogant, not welcomed. I didint feel welcomed guest at all.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, I am giving the hotel four stars for this reason. The rates however are confusing, our small (really small) cute double room on the third floor (booked through the hotel website) seemed overpriced compared to what others are reporting on trip advisor. The bathroom was nice and the breakfast excellent although the breakfast room could be crowded. Unfortunately, the last night our room was located next to a party event so we got no sleep. We were told that the police were called and the loud music did end around 2AM. I would strongly suggest being explicit about the room and what you are getting - a room on higher floor, away from a shared wall.

Room Tip: I would strongly suggest being explicit about the room and what you are getting - a room on higher f...
