“Excellent!”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

We round this on trip advisor and although it was near our hotel, took a little work to find. We saved this for my birthday dinner and it was so divine. We started with the orange chocolate pate that was unexpected fantastic-ness. Our entrees were delicious, and the dessert was so heavenly. My coffee ice cream and cakes with crème was out of this world. The food was only that more memorable when the wife and husband chatted with us. The service, the food, everything just was perfect.

“A must-go fusion restaurant (in a not-so-sexy location)”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

This little restaurant is my favourite in Paris. The menu is always inspiring and the food is excellent. Incredible but true: it is affordable too! The location is its only fault, but considering the quality and price, I consider it a must in the Parisian gastronomic scene.

“This year's discovery”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

A restaurant which you would love to have discoverd by yourself. But the Tripadvisor crowd had already been there.
I have nothing to add the the rave reviews on this site.
It is a restaurant exactly to my taste: modest, low key, but with outstanding attention to the production of delicately balanced flavours, none overwhelming the others. I particularly remember a "coulis de poireaux" which was the best food experience I have had in a few years. And a "cabillaud" (cod) so delicate and balanced in flavours that it was almost a pity to have wine with it.
You will not get in unless you reserve two or three days in advance, even for takeout, which they now offer. And if you reserve, you get the added warm feeling of pity for the unknowing couples who get turned away.
By the way, its location makes it a boon for the poor scholars who have to work at the Bibliothèque Nationale, which sits in this awful restaurant desert. Just find the "passerelle" which leaps over the train tracks and joins Avenue de France and rue du Chevaleret, midway between the two western towers of the BNF.
