We spent one night in Paris on a recent vacation and found this hotel to be wonderful. The front desk personnel was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and neat. They were on the small side but we expected that in Paris. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location in a safe and quiet neighborhood, just around the corner from the shops and cafes of rue Cler and the Ecole Militaire Metro station and within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, the Invalides and the Musee d'Orsay. I stayed for three nights in April 2013. My single room on the fifth floor was small (especially the bathroom) but perfectly comfortable and functional, nicely furnished and immaculately clean, just as depicted in the photographs on the website. The staff at the desk spoke perfect English and were always friendly and helpful but never intrusive. I booked weeks in advance online and got a fantastic rate. I hope to return to Paris again in the not too distant future, and whenever I do I will stay at Hotel Muguet.

Whilst the apartment itself was reasonable in size, the fact there was inadequate air conditioning made this place a hot box in July's Parisian heatwave. Ignoring the heat, this apartment is fine for a long stay in Paris. It's on the 4th floor, very secure, has an elevator in the building (be it tiny), the kitchen is small but functional (although we only used the frig), the lounge is a good size, the bedroom adequate, bathroom just a shower and sink, separate toilet near the entrance / kitchen. A grocery store is opposite, a fantastic wine shop next door with old wines, a bakery is just down the road and many good restaurants in easy walking distance. Avoid this place during heatwaves and it would be perfect for a couple. It's impractical for a family as they would have to go thru the bedroom to get to the bathroom.

Dear Ree21,

thank you for your comment.

You're right, our flat has only a machine that help a little with AC but there is no AC as you are used to.
Otherwise, I am glad that you enjoyed the location and Paris.

I hope to welcome you perhaps at the Hôtel Muguet where you have real AC in each room during the summer time.

Best regards.

The hotel was in the perfect location, on a quiet street in between the Eiffle Tower and Invalides. It was also between two metro stops. However, the location was so good that we ended up walking pretty much everywhere! Room was a good size, clean, and with a decent sized bathroom. Many nice restaurants around the area, not just on Rue Cler which was less than a five minute walk away. Am going to stay here again next time i'm in Paris.

This hotel is on a residential street which was quiet and was quite a find. The rooms were large, great breakfast, near bistros and the Eiffel Tower. If you ask for a view room, the elevator only goes to the 5th floor and view rooms are on the 6th floor with a staircase from the 5th to 6th floor. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the garden on the 2nd floor.

I stayed this hotel from February 11, 2013 to February 15, 2013 with my family.
Here is our experience with their great service.
After we check out the hotel and left France, we were on the train to Germany.
As soon as my wife realized that she left her bag in the lobby, we called them.
They told me that they have our bag. We asked them to send our bag to our home in US.
Without any problem, our bag was arrived our home after 7 days.
Great Customer Service!!!!!!

We have stayed at the Muguet several times in the last ten years. The hotel is in an excellent location between Invalides and the Eiffel Tower. The rooms are all with private bath and breakfast is serverd in a small dining area or on the patio. The hotel is on a side street so outside noises are not intrusive to the room It is also convenient to two Metro stops on different lines. If you want to really know Paris you need to be adjacent to a Parisian local shopping street. Rue Cler ( written by Rick Steves on several occasins) is near the hotel. In addition for those Americans who would prefer bacon and eggs for breakfast rather than a hard roll with their petti de junea, there is a restaurant on rue Cler that serves an American breakfast for less than the hotel chages you for your hard roll, butter and coffee. There are also several excelent restaurants within walking distance where Paisians dine not tourists. Madame Politier and her staff are very accomodating but book early through the hotel FAX because it is a popular place to stay.
