Our concierge recommended this restaurant and we're so glad we chose it. We ordered off the a la carte menu as there were several items that particularly interested us. The mousse of Jerusalem artichokes was a stunning and tasty entree, and the steamed sea bass was clean, light, and
beautifully presented. My husband had the lobster bolongnaise, which was so good that he finished it before I could have a bite. As other contributors have noted, Mark came out to chat with us and ask us about our meal. We found the service to be outstanding, and the quiet ambience a nice change from some of the other restaurants we had eaten at, where the tables are packed together. We would highly recommend this lovely restaurant!

An excellent restaurant near Palais de Congres. Ambience is perfect, small enough to be intimate, yet the service was excellent and easily accomodated our party of 6. The owner - Mark Singer - is also the chef and his wife the maitre d'. If you are an American, you will enjoy speaking with Mark, otherwise his French is easily native. Many choices of prix fixe and a'la carte, not to mention wonderfully different and palate pleasing desserts. Highly recommend.

While attending a conference in Paris I organized a lunch for a small group of colleagues. Le Dodin was a short walk from the Palais des Congrès de Paris and they were very accommodating when the number in our party kept changing. Mark Singer personally greeted us and his staff made us feel right at home. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful.

Now for the most important aspects...the food. Each of our group tried a different dish and we were all very pleased with our choices. The Tanguy tomatoe and maquerel with spicy saussage oil was excellent. The tastes and textures were completely balanced, it was a wonderful fresh, light way to start my meal. I followed this with the Pork belly cooked "low temperature", vegetable frie that was perfectly prepared and presented.

I can't more strongly recommend Le Dodin as a great choice if you are in this area. Although we did not require it for our small number, I did notice that they have a beautiful large dining room upstairs that would be perfect for private business meetings or events.

The concierge at the hotel referred us to this excellent, small restaurant and we really enjoyed our meal and wine. They have a set menu plus you can also order a la carte. The quality of the food and the presentation were excellent. The chef's wife takes care of running the dining room with one helper so while service was slow, it was relaxed and friendly. We would definitely return!

Date of experience August 29th:

By chance happened upon the restaurant. My wife and I, plus guest, really enjoyed our meal and drinks. The set menu was a bargain for the quality of food provided. Other reviewers complain about the speed of the service.... remember you are in France, this is normal for smaller dining establishments.

Chef Mark Singer joined us at the end of the meal/evening and we enjoyed talking with him until very late in the evening. Thanks Mark... Dale & Gloria.
