Wonderful spacious double room, quiet, relaxing and a real sense of history and charm. Room was ready for us as soon as we arrived late morning on a Friday. Hotel is over the road from the Jardin de Luxembourg and a 10 minute walk from the Boulevard St Germain. Great location. Welcoming staff. Only gripe was the chaotic breakfast- the food was good but only one member of staff expected to serve, wash up, relay tables, and cook specials...

Room Tip: Our room was number 12 on the first floor overlooking the side road and was very pleasant.

We stayed here for three nights at the end of January. What a lovely surprise! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond for us on several counts. The beds and linens were very comfortable and the bathroom was the best we've had in Europe - delivered just as their website suggested (to our delight). It is a lovely boutique hotel in a gorgeous area in town. There are exceptional restaurants nearby;walking in the Luxembourg gardens is gorgeous, even in winter; and wandering the streets in this area is delightful and full of interesting little places to explore. Not far from major tourist sites either. Assuming they have availability, we won't stay any other place when we are in Paris.

Room Tip: Having a room away from the Park proved quieter than I think rooms facing the Park would be just based on what you can hear from the breakfast room. We booked a superior room, which I'd recommend if you are carrying a lot of luggage or stuff that takes up a lot of space.

This hotel has a lot going for it. It is across the Luxembourg gardens and museum. There was a splendid exhibition on the" Dream and the Renaissance'.
Being a boutique hotel it has less than 30 rooms. So if the hotel is full and your room has a problem there is hardly any possibility of a better room to be available.
Many rooms face the Luxembourg garden ( the street between the garden and the hotel -Rue de Vaugirard is VERY busy and as a curiosity it seems to be the longest st is Paris) if you are a light sleeper it is better to choose a room facing the courtyard. The fact that the rooms have double glazed windows is helpful but it can still be noisy facing Vaugirard.
The breakfast is good in a lovely precinct facing the Luxembourg Gardens.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the courtyard are quiet. Room 21, facing the courtyard was a problem though. At 1:00 am the was a loud continuous noise coming from the neigbouring building and did not stop until 5:00 am. Perhaps it was only during this time, perhaps not.

Stayed for one night in terrace room...room is decent size, the terrace is probably same size as room...great space. Location is quiet, easy access to metro, small restaurants along side street good local taste.

Check in was easy/welcoming, Christian made sure we were all set up and helped graciously with many questions...nice little bar in lobby, cozy and inviting....we did not have breakfast due to timing but breakfast room looked good....
