“Perfect first visit to Paris”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

We were there the same HOT week, as the previous reviewer!! We stayed seven nights. Our A/C was a welcome relief, after long days in the heat. We were in an executive king room, on the first floor, in the back, facing the courtyard, which was covered, due to refurbishment of the elevator. It was still very quiet, had a great bathroom, a lot of hot water and perfectly comfortable!! May be a little problem, if you are trying to sleep, during the day. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. It was a perfect location to explore all areas of Paris. We did use the Metro quite a lot. We seemed to use Mabillon and St. Suplice stations the most. We, of course did a TON of walking, as well. That is the most fun thing to do in Paris!! Many great restaurants, shopping and conveniences close by. The hotel stored our larger luggage bags for us, while we went on a two day trip to Normandy, which we greatly appreciated!! Luxembourg Parc was a perfect choice, in every way!!!

Room Tip: We did not hear any outside noise, in our location. Room 11.

We've stayed a few different places in Paris and this hotel topped all the rest. Not only was the room lovely, all the staff were wonderful. Friendly staff in a Paris hotel is not a given so the fact that *all* we meant were great is saying something. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. Do not hesitate, book this hotel for a fantastic stay.

We booked the hotel on the strength of Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. We stayed for a three night trip in a very hot week in July. The hotel is ideally situated for the left bank sites and Ile de le Cite and close to the transport network, although we were able to walk to all the places we wanted to see. The staff were unfailingly polite and friendly and really made us feel at home. The room was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean with a good sized bathroom. and the location means the hotel is quiet and peaceful. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay in this hotel.

This relatively small hotel is a perfect antidote to the offerings of the larger international hotel chains. Our room was quiet and of adequate size. The bathroom was small but very clean and well equipped. The bath and shower controls were excellent. It is a 5 minute walk to the transport network. There is no restaurant on-site but there is a reasonable choice in nearby streets close to the Odeon Metro station.

We stayed at the hotel for six nights in mid-July, and it was wonderful in all respects. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (though we had no issues that needed solving), and the location in the 6th across the street from the gardens was very convenient - a great neighborhood in which to walk around, and about a 15 minute walk to get to the other side of the Seine to the Louvre, etc. Our room was nice-sized and very quiet, and the size of the bathroom, water pressure in the shower and the air conditioning far exceeded what is usually the case in a smaller European hotel! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

This hotel was a great location to use as our Paris base. We had a beautiful room with all the necessary amenities and were assisted by the very helpful and engaging staff. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be back myself in the near future.

We stayed at the Luxembourg Parc for six nights at the beginning of July. Simply put, our stay was over-the-top fantastique. Perfect location across the street from Luxembourg park and within walking distance of Saint Germaine and the Latin Quarter, while at the same time very quiet at night. Staff could not have been more helpful and cheerful (and we had some less than ordinary requests) Room was a good size by Paris standards, and very tastefully decorated. Great late night bar and adjacent sitting room. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else on our next trip to Paris. Thaks to all the staff for making our time in Paris so special.
