The hotel experience here feels much more quaint and personalized than one would expect from a 23-unit place. Staff was always friendly and helpful, our suite was clean and well appointed, the fitness center was superior to your average European hotel fitness room, and the location near Luxembourg Park is a big plus for runners and strollers alike. Our bed was particularly comfortable and we slept very well despite a minor noise factor from the elevator. Room service response time was much quicker than average - we had our morning coffee ten minutes after calling it in. Also conveniently located near St. Sulpice area, with lots of great side streets and shops.

We stayed at Hotel Luxembourg Parc for three nights based on the excellent TA reviews and were not disappointed. From the exterior it resembles a country inn, very warm and inviting. When entering we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff who were extremely helpful during our stay. They were always very pleasant and provided invaluable help in making dinner reservations and planning excursions. Christian and Cecilia in particular were fantastic. We reserved the larger superior double room on their website and were upgraded to an executive double which was quite large and comfortable, especially the mattress and down duvet comforter. There was zero street noise. The marble bath was quite elegant and offered everything we could possibly need. When traveling we usually select mid-range hotels but for this trip to Paris we were looking for something special and we found it at Hotel Luxembourg Parc. It's located just across the street from Jardins du Luxembourg, on the quiet northwest side of the park toward Saint Sulpice. We arrived from the airport by taxi but found later the Luxembourg RER stop, with a direct line from CDG airport, is quite close to the hotel (maybe a 5-7 minute walk.) Shopping and restaurants of Saint Germain-des-Pres are only a 10 minute walk away. There is free WiFi in the room with excellent connection and a free computer in the library if you didn't bring your laptop or notepad. Breakfast seemed a little pricy (15 euros) but there's a very pleasant cafe a couple doors down the street. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay and consider the price we paid to offer excellent value. We'll be back!

Room Tip: We think it's best to reserve on the hotel website.

A truly wonderful hotel! Great staff, great room, great service. The Latin quarter is the best of Paris! We were sad it was only one night. Great bathroom, great shower and magnificent terrace (we had the terrace room!). Small, but comfortable room size. Room service prompt and friendly.

I booked this hotel on the back of the great trip advisor reviews. Unfortunately I was not as impressed as the others.
My room cost over 340 euros and my room (17) was small but well appointed. The area was slightly out of the action area and the reception areas was nothing special. The staff (1 staff at reception) was very friendly. He recommended a local restaurant which was really awful,mi was unable to eat the food (lamb shank) due to toughness!
We slept very well and the bed and duvet was very nice. It's a good hotel but for the money in would not return.

Dear Sir,

Let me get back to you regarding your comment.
I'm sorry that the room didn’t impress you as expected, but be aware that the room in which you stayed is more than 22 square meters, while the regulation of 4 star hotel requires a minimum of 16 square meters for 2 people, so more than 40% larger.
I am very sorry that the meat that was served in the restaurant suggested by our reception was too hard but be sure that we choose our restaurants among the best restaurants in Paris, but we are not immune to error of cuisine, but I think this has nothing to do with the seriousness of our concierge.
All this let me say that your 3/5 seems very severe.
Hoping to introduce you to another type of rooms and other restaurants next visit, I remain at your disposal

I've often wondered why people complain about the unfriendliness of Paris and the Parisians, and this hotel confirmed me in my admittedly very broad generalisation. The staff were without exception warmly courteous, the service efficient and helpful.
As for facilities, the bar provides a convivial early-evening or late-night meeting spot, and the breakfast is, by French standards, excellent (the pastries are particularly good, and the unlimited supply of coffee -- even cappucino! -- a real boon.) The rooms are very comfortable and spotless -- indeed, I thought that in the interests of the environment, it was unnecessary for my towel to be changed every time I had a shower. The interiors are rather too antique-y and ornate to my taste, but that, for better or for worse, is the style of the hotel.
One slight drawback, if you don't like walking, is that the hotel is about a five-minute brisk walk from the nearest metro. I didn't mind this, but you may bear this in mind if you come bearing heavy luggage. (Mind you, if you can negotiate the steps in the metro itself with your luggage, the walk is the least of your problems.)
This is not a bargain hotel -- no four-star hotel is -- but the quality of the product more than matches the price.

Like a previous reviewer, we chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor recommendations and we were not disappointed. The hotel's location is great and within easy walking distance of the Odeon Metro station. The staff were incredibly helpful and tolerated our poor/inadequate French pronunciation. We stayed for five nights and we had room 14 on the first floor which was comfortable and well appointed. This was a very different experience from our first two nights in Paris - this was just a delightful boutique hotel.

The bathroom was a good size and well equipped with one minor exception - there was no hair conditioner - an incredibly picky point I know but when you are paying a reasonable rate in a four star hotel and you forget to pack your own, it's not unreasonable to expect it. We had just left a bathroom full of the stuff when we had been at the Paris Pullman Hotel in Bercy which was also good but on a very different scale. It is the only criticism we had because the rest of our stay was excellent.

The bar service was great and the staff are multi tasked and serve with a smile but they also make some great cocktails. We indulged in pre prandial or two before going out to one of the excellent local restaurants - one of which was just five metres from the side door of the hotel - a great little bistro "Cusine de Phillipe" which we had been told have on occasion provided room service to the hotel!

The breakfast room and breakfast was just what we wanted to start the day - typical delicious French fare although a cooked breakfast was a available.

There is small but well equipped gym which we used and the kit looks new.

We liked this hotel and would go back go again.

We enjoyed staying here. The people at the reception desk were very friendly, and our courtyard room was big and quiet (although my husband could hear the soft hum of the elevator at night). I appreciated being able to use their computer for free and getting to read The International Herald Tribune every day, and the breakfast was very good (really delicious fresh-squeezed orange juice). It's on a street corner right across the street from the Luxembourg Gardens. You actually look at a building in the gardens (maybe some of the upper rooms have a view of the garden itself), and it was very nice to walk in the gardens and get away from the busy city. It was only about 10-15 minutes to the Pantheon, about the same time to the Louvre (not busy at all when we were there, except the usual big crowd around the Mona Lisa), and about 20-25 minutes to the Musee d'Orsay (terribly crowded on the Tuesday-the day that the Louvre is closed- that we went at 3 in the afternoon; I suggest avoiding Tuesday and weekend days while the popular Impressionism and Fashion exhibition is on). There are ATM's nearby and a couple of small grocery stores. Most of the nearby cafes seemed to serve typical French cuisine. I'm glad that we split our stay in Paris between this hotel and Le Relais Montmartre, a good opportunity to explore 2 very different neighborhoods. We liked the food in Montmartre much better (French, Italian, Vietnamese, African cuisine, among others), but it was farther away from the main attractions and maybe not as attractive as the Luxembourg Parc neighborhood. I wish this hotel didn't have loud jazz playing in the bar in the evening. We were very pleasantly surprised to find our room already ready at 9:30 in the morning after a long flight. We would come here again.

Room Tip: Our courtyard room was very quiet. Maybe rooms facing the main street may have been noisier.
