“A Fabulous Boutique Hotel”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

We hit the hotel lottery with our recent stay at the Hotel Luxembourg Parc. Since we were going to be in Paris for our trip toward the end of March only four nights, we decided to stay in a hotel rather than get an apartment. After reading so many good things on Tripadvisor, we decided to give it a try. When I checked the availability of rooms, to my surprise the Terrace Room was available. Not only that, they gave me a deal on it. What a fabulous room! We later found out that this room is booked far in advance but it was open for the four nights that we were in Paris. It turned out to be our great luck. The room, on the second floor, is small (remember, this is Paris) but very nicely furnished with some old beams exposed as part of the decor. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was terrific. And the terrace...was fabulous. It is huge. It overlooks the Luxembourg Gardens. It is comfortably decorated with plants, a huge umbrella, table, chairs, chaises, and a propane heater. Noise was not a problem. The street is quiet. The hotel is perfectly located midway between the heart of the Latin Quarter a short walk to the east and Saint Germain des Pres a short walk to the west. You can easily walk to the Seine. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. In addition to enjoying our terrace, we loved relaxing in the library with a drink or a coffee looking at the beautiful sculpture and fountain in the interior courtyard. We loved our experience there and will definitely return.

This wonderful small hotel directly across the street from Luxembourg Gardens park is a great treat in the heart of Paris. Lovely rooms and public space, very nice small bar and breakfast buffet, great front desk staff, and very reasonable rates for a Paris hotel. I was there by myself for just 2 days but found it to be a great base for exploring Paris with the lovely and interesting park acrioss the street a wonderful place to relax. Highly recommended.

We just spent five nights at the hotel, broken up by a trip to Provence. I would give it four and a half stars if I could figure out how to do that....This is Paris and hotels are expensive. We are professionals with good jobs but did not want to spend $800 a night for a major hotel in Paris. This is a great choice for people who might normally stay in nice hotels in the US etc who just can't see paying Hotel Crillion prices in Paris. We had an executive room both times. First, you may be slightly disappointed when you walk into the room as the photos on the web site were taken with a wide angle (as are most hotel room photos). The executive room is not large but large enough. They are also in the back of the hotel facing the quiet courtyard. This also seems slightly disappointing as you think you want to face the front Gardens but you realize that the back brings quiet and the street noise in front would not be conducive to great sleep. There is a weirdly placed marble top table in the middle. Just move it to the side...Nice bathroom with good shower, etc.....two big windows....We did not like the room the first two nights - first floor which meant we got smoke from the courtyard when people smoked there. The second go round we were on the fourth floor. Ask. I booked way in advance so would have assumed I would have gotten a higher floor first go round but didn't ask. I asked for the return stop and we moved higher up. The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is ideal - just away from the bustle but walking distance to everything. Down the block from lovely church. We loved walking to the river each morning and across. And taking a taxi back at night was cheap. Also easy to take a taxi to Gare du Lyon for TGV to Avignon. We never ate breakfast at the hotel after reading reviews here but went out to various cafes instead....The "king" beds are really two twins adjoined which is not perfect for a honeymoon but much better than some we have experienced. Look, if you want the Four Seasons, be willing to pay three times as much. If you want a nice, high end boutique hotel for a reasonable price this is it.

Room Tip: Executive rooms.....more expensive but worth it for the size and quiet.

Fantastic hotel in great location with 5 star service. As someone who frequently travels and stays in 5 star luxury hotels, this one is a hidden gem and one of Paris' best kept secrets. It is charming, immaculate and has impeccable service. I have been going there for years and think it is an extraordinary find. Kudos to Fabienne and her team.

We stayed for six nights in February/March. A top class hotel in a great location. Paris is not renown for cheap hotels but we felt it was very good value for the standard of accomodation provided.

The hotel is just opposite the Luxembourg Gardens a must see attraction to watch Parisians at play (even in early spring). Paris is a lot more compact than is apparent from the tourist maps and many of the great attractions are an easy walk away.

We found the staff invariably friendly and helpful. Their restaurant recommendations seemed spot on - excellent food at reasonable prices seemed to be the guiding principle.

As a slight caveat while the breakfast room is charming (and the food and coffee fine), there are many cheaper options outside the hotel.

My husband and I spent a week at Hotel Luxembourg Parc in February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I would describe the hotel as charming, clean, convenient and comfortable. It was my first trip to Paris, and the location of the hotel made it extremely convenient to walk to several of the must-see sites. It's located on a quiet street, and there is a nearby metro station. The staff was so polite and helpful. My husband had a bad cold, and they recommended the type of medicine to get and showed us to a nearby pharmacy. Cecilia even made him a special tea when we'd come back from sightseeing. We ate breakfast there almost every day because it was convenient with plenty of good offerings from yogurt, cereal, fruit and delicious pastries from Gérard Mulot, Patisserie to yummy fromage omelets! The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful and clean with marble and updated fixtures. We spent more time in the room than we normally would have due to my husband being under the weather, and it wasn’t much of a sacrifice due to the lovely accommodations. We would highly recommend this hotel!
