Lovly and clean rooms, friendly stuff, nice view to Eiffel Tower.
St Germain Boulvard is close to the hotel.
Offers food from all over the world.

Contra:
Stuff might show up as early as 7 in the morning!
Make sure to give instruction.
You might got up when Peaople return early in the morning
as stearway is a bit noisy.

There is a beatiful 19*th Centurary Lift, dont miss that!

this is a very nice hotel with a excelent price, although the room and the bathromm are quite small. The breakfast is poor considering the french food, but you can walk a few steps and have a good meal at some cofee around. The location is amazing (one of the best in Paris), just a few corners from notre damme, museums, restaurants and other great places. The stuff was also ok.

Should have suspected problems from the start when I received no reply to my two emails. Communication is everything. I ended up having to phone from New Zealand to ask some questions. Oui oui, I was assured, two rooms together or opposite each other was no problem, high floor no problem. When we got there we discovered no rooms had been reserved together, we were on separate low floors. And when we checked on the room situation for our further booking 2 weeks hence, they had nothing put aside in our names and could only try and meet our request, in spite of this and the current booking been made on booking.com several months earlier.

And we had booked smoking rooms but they didn't provide any ashtrays, which rather defeats the purpose of advertising that smoking is OK.

Single rooms were tiny and smelled musty until window left open, not fun in 4 degrees. The bathroom was also tiny but clean and modern, d close the door.

Aircon was advertised but had been disabled and we were told was only turned on in summer. Only English channel was CNN and no movies, a bit much for 10 nights when its too cold to be out.

Breakfast at 7 euros each is a pot of coffee for 2 and a croissant each.

We only stayed 1 night and cancelled the forward booking.

Room Tip: Book a double room to get something of a decent size. And these are on the upper floors. And take yo...

The not so positive stuff:
The rooms are small and dated, the bathrooms are tiny.

The great stuff:
The location is very central an easy 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, friendly staff, nice and clean, very very good value for money (for Paris).

This was our third trip to Paris and Hotel Saint Pierre was the best value for money by far.

I had read mixed reviews on the hotel so was already aware that I was taking a gamble with this hotel but as I was going to Paris for three nights to celebrate my 30th birthday I thought I would be able bear pretty much anything for that short amount of time.

The hotel is in a fabulous location, we got the train from Charles de Gaul straight to the clunny la sabornne stop and the hotel was literally a 3 minute walk from the station, the very old retro lift is very small but I loved it, we only had carry on luggage so there was room for two of us and our cases. There is 24 hour reception staff as you have to leave your key when you leave, this was a little irritating but whilst we were there someone was always on reception so prevents lost keys!

I can not comment on any other room than the one we stayed in which was room 48 on the top floor but this room looked to be fantastic for what we paid, we had requested a room on the top floor before we got to Paris due to reviews I read on here stating this were where the best views from, they were not wrong, straight out of the window was the Eiffel Tower which at night was beautiful. We also were only a 5 minute walk form the bridge de neuf, Norte dame cathedral and the palace de justice which were all fabulous and great to be able to take a walk to.

The beds were very comfy and the room was a really good size, there was plenty of wardrobe room and a big mirror and desk which was ideal for hair and make up.

The room and the bathroom both had small flat screen in them however the only English Channel available is CNN which can prove to be depressing so ignore the hotels comments about sat alight t.v, if you can speak fluent French or German you will be fine but we couldn't so they were pointless for us.

Having said that we didn't go to Paris to watch t.v so for location, space, view and bed comfort the room was great.

Now I'm afraid the negatives, the amazing looking bathroom with bath with shower attached to taps, small shower head and large fountain shower head ( yes three shower heads in one bath) although looked impressive was somewhat of a let down, having got there after a total of 12 hours of traveling the bath looked very appealing, when we turned the hot tap on the water came out at a dribble but mud and grit pump through quiet happily, we put this down to the two floors below us being under renovation and cleaned the bath down and started again - more grit and the water that was coming through was cold, I called reception and was told there was no hot water in the evenings and if we wanted to move rooms we could - not at all helpful but I thought that maybe he thought I meant hot water for a drink so just wanting to get to bed and have an early start we called it a night and went to bed.

In the morning the water was indeed hot and free from grit in the shower however it was impossible to fill the bath and have a bath anytime after 5pm so if you don't like showers I suggest you stick to morning showers!! The noise from the lift went on through the night although was not unbearable once we got used to it, the temperature of the room at night was unbearable however and as the air con unit did not work at all we were forced to sleep with the balcony (it's not a balcony just a step of concrete) doors open which was only possible once buying ear plugs as we were bang in the middle of the city and the traffic really never sleeps.

All in all I would defiantly stay there again if for nothing more than the cost being very cheap for the brilliant location.

Room Tip: We were in 48 but that is all I can tell you

Great location in the Latin Quarter, great price for the location. It is very small but if you're just using it as a base then it's absolutely fine. If you get a room on the top floor then you can get some lovely views of the Eiffel Tower. Comfy bed but cleaners start early.

Room Tip: Top floor for great view

This hotel is reasonably well located to access the Latin Quarter and close to the underground rail system. There's not much else positive that I can say about it. The hotel lift can only fit two people or one person and their luggage, (but not both) so getting your bags to the room is a tedious process. The lift is slow and you can end up waiting long periods in the morning and evening so be prepared to use the stairs. The rooms are tiny and it's fairly noisy, especially as at the moment there are a number of rooms on each floor being refurbished, so the tradesmen start hammering away at 7am each morning

The biggest issue with this hotel however is the abysmal bathrooms and tiny showers. Our first room (#41) had no hot water at all for two days and appallingly bad water pressure. The hotel management were not particularly interested in trying to resolve the issue insisting that the room was fine. Sadly, we were in Paris to celebrate my partner's 40th birthday, so this really took the gloss off what should have been a magical experience.

On the first night we were allowed to use another room's bathroom to have a quick shower but were unable to move to another room. On the second night we were unable to have any shower at all. Management insisted that there was nothing wrong with the room but refused to come and verify that the shower was in fact just a trickle of very cold water. Finally on the third day we were allowed to move to another room which at least had hot water.

Overall, the attitude of the hotel management was appalling and there are certainly better places to stay.

Room Tip: Room 50 was ok. Room 41 was terrible
