“Worth the money for a Parisian hotel”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

I stumbled upon this hotel while browsing online looking for a hotel to stay in Paris. One of the reason for choosing this hotel was because it was newly renovated; so that I do not get "surprises" like hotel room looks different from the picture. What I like about this hotel is that the price is reasonable, space is adequate for single stay in Paris city, conveniently located - near to train station, department store, Opera House, cafe, restaurants, etc, clean, and helpful front desk.
The only downside is that it is located in a busy street and I was in the room on 2nd floor thus I got woke up my car honks early in the morning.
Another thing to note here is that the hotel can help you book "taxi" to airport at a relatively reasonable price, but it is actually a car pool. My experience with that was I made it to the airport almost 2 hours before departure and almost missed my flight due to long queue tax refund. For those of you who need to do tax refund, make sure you ask for earlier time slot to have enough time for tax refund or get a real taxi or take the metro.

Room Tip: Perhaps ask for higher floor to avoid the noise from the street.

I really cannot recommend this hotel, it is not worth the money. The Room was extremly small and noisy, with dirty carpets and a window you cannot close properly. The room was to the street which is always busy, day & night because it is close to the train station.

Our hotel has small rooms, like all hotels in Paris.
This is not Versailles, but there are much smaller.
The rooms have been renovated this year 2012, new upholstery, new carpet, new paint, everything is clean, say otherwise would be wrong.
This is the case of the room 42.
The rooms are soundproofed and windows are double glazed.
Normally there is no noise when the window is closed, some people do not close their window well and after they complain ...
It is true that we are in front of the Gare Saint Lazare, is busy, which is normal because we are in the center of Paris, close to all major monuments, Opera, Champs-Elysées ... and department stores, Printemps, Galeries Lafayette ... with lots of transit and Metro Bus.
But in the center of Paris as in all capitals is the same.
Management, as the whole hotel staff is available day and night customers.
When a customer has a complaint or to make a comment, do not hesitate to tell the reception, we will do our utmost to find a solution and make the guests' stay as pleasant as possible.
For information, reservations are made when an online booking site, we use the booking conditions and cancellation of this website.
In general, for an early departure, if your booking is for 4 nights and after the first night you leave, the day of departure will be charged.
Management, as the whole hotel staff is available day and night to make customers stay even more enjoyable posssible.
Looking forward to welcome you again in our hotel.
Sincerely,
Sam

It was my first time in Paris.I had no idea about metro or bus or any other transportation. I emailed to the hotel with couple of questions before my arrival. I received very quick and good reply from staff member. The directions were so clear, detailed and straight forward which made my life so much easier. Thank you

Austin is opposite to the Gare St Lazare rail station, which has both Metro and Country train links also has an SNCF train booking office and English speaking staff clearly identified. Very easy to get around on the Metro and see Paris. The Hotel staff were mostly very helpful. The overnight clerk let them down in poor performance. The room and bathroom were very clean and had nice furnishing curtains and bedding. No trouble with noise and was located next to the lift. Like most places in this price range I have found the rooms to be small but its budget accommodation and for me there is only one person and luggage so I was cosy and comfortable. If you are a large person you might think differently. Breakfast was good though the breakfast room is small and again a large person might not feel comfortable as the tables are close together.

Room Tip: Check the size of the room.

Stayed there with my wife for 7 nights. Tiny hotel. Good location, near the Haussmann blv.(galleries LaFayette...), ten minutes walk from the Opera, very close to the Metro station and across the road from the train station where you can take the train to the amazing Versailles town and palace. The room was very small (bathroom with shower only), but clean and recently refurbished (we could still smell the fresh paint...). Change of linen and towels every other day or so. Continental breakfast, reasonably good. Polite, helpful staff. Free WiFi in the room! Good value for money.

We're there for 4 nights 10-14 July and booked three double rooms, the rooms in our view are properly insulated , so we slept well on all four nights. At the hotel, we find Mr. Smaily friendly and helpful. The size of the room though small is clean, the flooring, bath, bed, tv are all in good condition. This 3 stars hotel comes with room air-conditioner that worked well. The hotel is conveniently located near great shopping belt of Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, and is accessible to major sights via metro, bus and taxis. For Asian Chinese, there is one Chinese eatery next to the hotel and two more Chinese eatery very near the hotel that serves proper meals that are good value for money. We booked our airport transfer via 'Parisdisneyshuttle.com" only EUR70 for a total of 6 persons per way in one minivan, both ways cost EUR 140, the company employs Asian driver, can speak proper English and they provide reliable and timely transfer service.

Room Tip: Email to this hotel directly to check for best room rates.
