“When you don't have time for D'Orsay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

A smaller more specialised museum built to house some of Monet's amazing artworks. There's often a temporary exhibition downstairs but the treats are housed in the impressive oval rooms. You can sit for an hour easily and gaze at Monet's largest artworks. A great facility for such impressive pieces. I always stop in when I am in Paris.

“Small but charming!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

It's a small and quite museum, but very charming. The building itself is already a masterpiece. Just watch the young ladies outside the museum, trying to make a "survey": they are robbers (seriously!).

“Monet plus great space”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

A perfect little museum for those amazing water lilies. Don't miss the downstairs too...Renoir, Cezanne and more. Very short line with the museum pass and great to see before you go to Giverny.

“Impressionists.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

This was tricky to find ,it is a smallish building but well worth the search. We loved the great range on show , it's lay out was so fresh, relaxing and so French, elegant. Beautiful Monet you feel like you are in his garden.

“Water lilies galore”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

This was my most favorite place. The first two circular rooms with Monet's water lilies at different times of day were breathtaking. I could sit in this room forever. Definitely follow this up with a day trip to Giverny to see Monet's house and visit his gardens and the water lilies.
