Even if you only had 30 minutes, this is the place to visit.

I love the Musee de l'Orangerie. It's a happy space and quite easy to navigate. It's a must see for anyone coming to Paris. For those who say, I don't want to spend an entire day indoors, waiting in line, with tourists, etc. THIS is the place for you. If you love the impressionists but can't afford a day at the D'Orsay, this is your musee.

The l'Orangerie, was built to house the most amazing water lily paintings by Monet. His canvases grace the curved walls of two rooms. After you discover the masterpieces, wander downstairs to find see the permanent collection or an exhibition which might be on display. Again, you can make your visit last 30 minutes or two hours, the choice is yours. It's also part of the Musee Pass, which means you can zip past all the lines!

The lines are short and move fast. The space is bright and the best part of all, depart the l'Orangerie and spend the afternoon in the Tuileries wandering among the floral jardins, eating gelato and finding the GIANT hidden tree sculpture by the famous Italian artist Giuseppe Penone

The only part open was the first floor with the murals of the lily ponds. No special exhibits, no second floor, and no warning until you had paid for tickets that the museum was 3/4 closed. Only 5 euros, but not too exciting. Watch out for the gypsies on the bridges around there. They have some scams going.

Had a great tour and it was well displayed and a beautiful building. The building is not far from the Museum D' Orsay and across the Seine. The pieces are really special, vut the audio tour was a little boring. Still a good visit.

We had not planned on visiting this museum, but it was on our Museum Pass and we were near the area and stopped by. It was one of our favorite museums, small with the most wonderful Monet paintings I have ever seen!

The lilies are worth it, and they were painted expressly for this site, but don't stop there. Often less crowded than the Musée d'Orsay and, a nice bonus, you can buy a companion ticket here that will gain you entrance to the Musée d'Orsay without waiting in the ticket line.
