It felt like that the museum was built with Monet's water lilies in mind, featuring on the main floor. Then the rest of the artwork were really a mishmash of great and no-so-great painters and were not very impressive.

I did find Monet's works mesmerizing but the rest, not so much. My Paris Museum Pass covered it so it was still a good way to spend 10-15 minutes. Otherwise, there might be other places that are more suitable for you.

You can look at Monet.s art in a quiet setting, without the crowds, as he intended. The museum is a pleasant respite from the craziness of the Louvre.

This is a must-see attraction in Paris if you like Impressionist paintings. Bring your earplugs, though, it's loud and echoing in the Water Lillies rooms, and people very rudely chatter while you're trying to take it all in.

Loved this!!!!! We went primarily to see Monet's water lilies, which were stunning, especially as we had been to Giverny a few days prior. But the delight of seeing the rest of the collection here.... Easily laid out, understandable, gave you a great understanding of the development of the art..
We were fortunate to also take in an Italian Impressionist temporary exhibition, and this was so interesting.
Loved it.

Since the Louvre is nearly devoid of impressionism, this is the place to get your fix. That said, the museum is rather small. It's a far cry from the ginormous Louvre. That's a plus as there were fewer crowds, more room to walk, and time to enjoy the art. It's well worth the price of admission.
