“inspiring museum”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

The Monet exhibit is well worth the brief wait in line for this museum. Standing in either of two rooms which enclose 360 degree Monet paintings is beautiful. The montage depicting the constuction of the exhibit and Monet's inspiration for it is fascinating as well. There are more Impressionist paintings on the lower level as well but it was the Monet rooms that held our interest. This is a small museum but worth seeing.

“Monet's Waterlilies”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Although there are a lot of fabulous paintings here, the dominate presentation is the 6 huge (~8' x ~30') panels of his paintings of waterlilies. Most of the panels have hues of blue, green, purple & white but one panel had bold reds & oranges!

“more than just the waterlilies”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

monet's waterlilies are, of course, breathtaking. but also visit the lower level, there are some beautiful pieces here also. again, don't try and rush through in a short time. we also visited monet's garden which i would thoroughly recommend if you enjoy this museum

“Don't miss this”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

This is a wonderful gallery and is staffed by helpful and knowledgeable personnel. Buy a ticket combination with Musee D'Orsay which can be used over a period of 4 days. Essential if you are feeling " galleried out" by the whole Paris experience.
