We had a beautiful meal and the lady of the house took great pains to translate the full menu to English for us. The food was excellent and the evening was a lovely experience of France.

Walked into Le Coin one evening and was completely surprised!

The food was excellent! Started with the Filets de hareng,
Pommes Tiedes. Ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon as the main course and finished with a Crème brûlée. Everything was unbelievably good.

The owner spoke English. She translated and explained the entire menu to me. Great service!

Recommended by our hotel which was just around the corner. Fantastic meal - full of rowdy locals helping us out with the menu (which was all in french) Delicious french food, great atmosphere and very good value. We will be back!

Real French bistro type place. No menus just a list of dishes on chalkboards around the small restaurant so take your glasses (I didn’t ) if you need them. Restaurant packed full of locals who all seemed to know the owners (Thursday night on a cold January evening!) – but unlike some places we were made very welcome. The whole place is so informal it’s really refreshing. The menu is heavily influenced by the South of France cuisine which I love so be careful if you prefer “lighter” fare. A very tasty rabbit pate followed by a stunning confit duck and chips cooked in duck fat (and salad) and a crème brulee to finish was my choice. My wife only had a main of seafood pasta but it was extremely tasty and filling. A carafe of not too delicate house red helped a superb evening. As I mentioned earlier, we were the only “non locals” in that night and the whole evening had been conducted with a smile in French which we can just about manage. The host is a larger than life gentleman who seems to spend the evening moving from table to table chatting and laughing and is a real character, especially when he sat down next to my wife at the end of the meal and asked in near perfect English whether she had enjoyed herself and would she like a complimentary brandy wither coffee. You get the feeling that his wife who works quietly behind the bar organising the staff is really the boss! Do go. Reserve or get there early and just go with it.

My husband and I had dinner here tonight. The service was outstanding; we felt immediately welcomed and our waiter kindly translated the French only menu. We each had an entree, main, dessert and 2 glasses of wine - every dish was amazingly delicious and quintessentially French. For under €80, this presented excellent value for money. We were so impressed and satisfied with our meal that we are thinking of going back there tomorrow night. Recommended by our hotel, New Orient Hotel, it was a fantastic recommendation. Very pleased and we would strongly recommend the foie gras, beef fillet and crème brûlée!
