The hotel is very conveniently located near the Paris Gare du Nord. Hotel staff are very much freindly and english speaking as well. The breakfast is Ok . The only Problem with the hotel was the lift which is not enough for more than two people and also with luggage.

We booked our room based on the photos on the internet but what we got was nothing like that. Room 312 is horrible (cobwebs, rotten carpet, smelly, tiny, very noisy, gloomy as only 1 small wall lamp worked). Things that were broken included lights, french doors (couldnt be shut properly so you cant sleep due to the noise from the road below. Sirens all night long, endless cyclists dinging their bells, drunks shouting, tooting from vehicles for no reason at all, room next door slamming it every 5 minutes), basin plug, wall lamp was dangling by its cord, probably kill someone soon.

Breakfast was good but you have to be lucky to find a table as the dining area is cramped.

Looking at other 2 star hotels in the area this is well below their standard and not that cheap (125 euros a night!) advertised outside the Hotel.

I think they have refurbished some of the other rooms so you might be lucky and get a nice one but it's a risk I would not take!

The hotel was clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast better than average for the class

It has a tiny lift, only big enough for two people with hand luggage, if we had had suitcases we would have had to ascend singly, but it was always there when we wanted it.

the bathroom was clean with a large shower tray, ample hot water and towels, and soap, shampoo and hair dryer were provided. The shower curtain allowed enough water to escape to damage the bathroom door, but that is the only criticism I can find to make of this hotel.

It is situated very close to the Gare du Norde railway station so you don't have far to walk to get a train or metro wherever you want to go, I would definitely use it again

While touring Europe this past Christmas season, my family and I had a chance to stay at Hotel Londres-Eiffel. The Hotel was an excellent choice and for the price gave a great value back. The staff helped us with several special needs, such as travel between the Airport and Hotel, arranging reservations for Dinner, helping us with our kids. The entire time there, we counted on the staff to make our visit to Paris a great time. In the future, I look forward to the opportunity to stay again with them and recommend the Hotel to my friends and family with no reservations.

This hotel was very close to the station (about a 5 minute walk), which was really convenient if you have luggage to carry and are travelling by train. It is not really close to any of the major attractions, but that wasn't a major problem for us because the tranportation system is really good in Paris. The breakfast was basic but enough. There was no air conditioning. The elevator was really small, so we just took the stairs.

Early January 2009, I booked another trip to Paris. As I enjoyed my stay last summer at the Hotel de Londres et Anvers, I decided to book it again this winter.
A first (nice) surprise was that the room rate has dropped. This time we paid for a room with two beds including taxes and breakfast only 59€.... I think I never had such a cheap hotel night for many years.
This time we were located in room 104 on the 1st floor (and not in the new block). This room is on the street side
The room was clean (important to us) and larger than last year.
However, the door of the bathroom has apparently been damaged by sucking water, it looked poor...
The windows have double glass, which was very helpfull as there was a lot of noise on the streets (must be close to a hospital if not, I thought there was a terrorist attack or so...because there were sirens all the time...awfull).
Breakfast is ok, not a Hilton style one ...but sufficient for only 59€
And yes, I would return a third time

I recently stayed in Paris for 2 nights with my partner, on our recent trip around Europe & the USA. It was the end of the summer season & fairly quiet, however, Paris is never really quiet as such, & we were able to visit many of the sights – we enjoyed ourselves a great deal.

We booked our accommodation through a hostelling website, & confirmed a place to stay for the duration of our holiday. We had not spent a great deal on the hotel by Paris standards, so weren't sure what to expect – it was a 2* hotel in fairly good condition, & as Paris accommodation can be notoriously small & expensive, this hotel suited us just fine. It was nothing more & nothing less than what you would expect for the price. On our arrival (via Eurostar), we discovered that the hotel was incredibly close – less than a 5 minute walk just around the corner from the station (Gare du Nord).

The hotel was in decent shape, with a refurbished breakfast room. Be warned that the elevator is very small (it fits about two people, or one person with luggage) but again, this is not uncommon in Paris – we were just grateful to have a lift as we were staying on the 5th floor (room 513), & it did the job. Our room was fairly spacious which was a surprise, although it had a single bed in it as well as our double, so perhaps it was more of a family room. Judging by the evacuation floor plan, many of the other double rooms were much smaller – it's possible we scored this larger room purely because I asked if we could have a bigger room via email before our arrival, but who knows!? The room needed a little work but wasn't in a bad state. It also had a small balcony & double door which you could open. There were another set of double doors in the bathroom, which appeared to have been fairly recently been renovated. The shower had good pressure & plenty of hot water. Towels & complimentary shampoos etc were provided. The TV received several channels, but only two of them were in English (BBC & CNN news). The only downside was that the walls were quite thin, so it was easy to hear doors slamming & people talking in other rooms. The hotel was also in a very busy area, & there was a lot of traffic noise & sirens, etc. However, if you are a fairly heavy sleeper then this would not bother you.

Breakfast was served in the downstairs room & there was a fair range of products to choose from – continental only though, but the pastries were great. The coffee machine makes good coffees, & I felt that breakfast was quite reasonable. There is an Internet computer in the lobby, & you can also bring your own laptop down to use the wi-fi there – I think it cost about €5 for 2 hrs. The reception is open 24-hours, I believe. Please note that there is no air-conditioning in the rooms at this hotel, which would make a difference in the heat of summer. The service at the hotel was fair, & there was street parking only, if you have a car, but it looked to be quite difficult to get a park there.

There are loads of cafes & restaurants around, as well as other types of shops (especially wedding shops for some reason). It is true that this may not be the safest area in Paris, but even at night time I would not have considered it unsavory in the slightest, & there were always plenty of people around. Pigalle & the Montmartre area were about a 15-minute stroll away – on the way there you also pass several supermarkets, which is helpful.

All in all, if you are after a cheap & basic hotel in a reasonable Paris location, then this may be the place for you. You get what you pay for & this is certainly not roomy, or of a luxurious nature, but if you keep this in mind then you will not be disappointed. We have stayed in Paris before at a similar establishment, but if we are in Paris again then we would most likely return to this hotel. Thanks for a nice stay!
