Just back from 3 nights at this lovely little hotel. Brilliantly located. Took the Air France bus from Orly Airport and it was just a few minutes walk to the hotel. Well positioned for metro and buses. Although the street itself is very busy just around the corner are some very pleasant streets and the interesting, well kept, Montparnasse Cemetery. We had a standard room at the back of the hotel. Although small it was well planned and it was clean. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful.
Only niggles were that the bath towels were very small and they had dispensers on the wall by the basin and shower. Would have preferred the usual small shampoo, bar of soap and shower gel.

Room Tip: Only saw our room 34 at the back of the hotel Window opened which was good because the weather was very warm. No view but fairly quiet considering it is one of the busiest parts of Paris.

We got a good price on the Arcadie Montparnasse, but we didn't raise our expectations. We thought, a small hotel on a busy road. But what a lovely surprise! We had a great couple of days in Paris and this hotel was a bonus.

The staff were friendly and spoke good English. The room and bathroom were really clean with a nice comfortable bed. The continental breakfast had a good selection of cereal, bread rolls and pastries.

This hotel is so handy for the stations. We arrived at Gare du Nord on Eurostar and could travel direct to Montparnasse-Bienvenue on the Metro in about 20 minutes - then just 5 minutes to the Arcadie. Gare Montparnasse (one of 4 main stations in Paris) is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We had easy access to all the sites - Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, and the River Seine Cruise.

Plenty of good restaurants withing walking distance of the hotel for an evening meal (at reasonable prices) if you don't want to stay in the centre of Paris.

Would recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely time staying at this little hotel in the heart of Paris. Although the room is not big, it is pleasant and well organized. We slept well, since the room turned to the back yard and was very quiet. The staff was wonderful and provided excellent service for every request we had, always with generosity, kindness and a wide smile. The location is very comfortable. Not knowing the city too well, it was easy to get there, reach various sites by foot while exploring the beautiful streets of Paris, as well as find places to dine in the evenings. Overall, staying in the hotel was a very good experience: comfortable and welcoming, central and a great base for exploring Paris!

This hotel was clean and tidy and situated only a short walking distance from Gare Montparnasse, many underground routes, the Montparnasse tower and various bars and restaurants. The Eiffel Tower was reached in morning rush hour in under half an hour, for example, via the underground.

The staff, who mostly spoke fluent English, were friendly and welcoming throughout our three night stay. The rooms were small (the norm for Paris, so I'm told) but comfortable, with a shower over bath and a hairdryer (the missus particularly appreciated this!). The only thing I don't recall is whether there was any air conditioning, but then we just opened a window. There was a safety deposit facility available at reception.

Breakfast was continental, with croissant, buns and the like available with spreadable cheese, butters and jams. Tea, coffee, juice and cereals were also an option.

All-in-all, it is difficult to pick fault with this accomodation. My partner and I would definitely stay at this place again in future.

Room Tip: It is worth asking for a room without traffic noise. Number 14 was good for this.

Hotel was great, it's located opposite the train station and you can literally get to all the sights from the metro, service on the desk was prompt and nothing was too much trouble, very helpful with restaurant recommendations and advise with the trains!
It's a small hotel, but very cute and very classic French! Nice decor and well equipped rooms. Although the room was small, the furniture suited the hotel, nice and traditional.
The bed was comfy and we had a good nights sleep, even with being along a main road it was very quiet! I cannot comment on the breakfast, as we slept in and missed it! I can however comment on the restaurants near by, we went to, le petit sommelier, (50metres towards the station from the hotel) the food was epic, with lots of steak choices, and the choice of fine wines was incredible (23 page wine list!), I highly recommend a visit! Just to give you an idea on costs, we had a starter to share, a main each (both steaks) a couple glasses of champagne (to celebrate my g/f 21st!) and a bottle of white wine (£45 and i cannot remember the name!) which was amazing! Bill came to £120.
All in all, great visit to Paris and I cannot fault the hotel!
