Marignan is 5 minutes from the Sorbonne, has modern rooms, a kitchen and free wifi, and all the staff were polite and welcoming in English and in French. I returned my key two days after checking out and nobody complained. They will give you breakfast even if you're late waking up. Lots of good tourist information available in posters on the bulletin board. Highly recommended.

We can't say enough great things about our stay at the hotel, the location is fabulous and more importantly, the staff is lovely and so helpful. They were so kind to help us figure out our transportation to the airport and pretty much could answer any questions that we had. Breakfast was so much fun and even better was how they treated our 2 small daughters. Highly recommend this place.

Right next to Notre Dame and lots of little shops and restaurants. A little hard to find with the winding name-changing streets. About 30-40mins from airport on the trains and walking.

Cleaning lady was quite rude and would gives us dirty looks. But they let us keep our bigger room even after reservation changes for a cheaper price, which was nice because we had a private shower and toilet.
The stairs are WINDY!! really badly, we got dizzy, especially being on the 6th floor. Not good for kids.

rooms are dated, but fair for the price.

Breakfast is ok, the bread is quite nice but they are a bit stingy and i believe we had to pay in cash, so something to consider.

all in all, good deal for Paris.

Room Tip: the beds are sometimes roll aways.

This is a great value hotel, very well located off saint germain blvd in the latin quarter. We stayed here on two seperate occaisions in a double room with shared bathroom. The rooms were very clean, the reception staff were helpful and spoke good english. You get a basin in your room as well. The free continental breakfast was excellent. Only downside was some of the rooms (perhaps in the higher floors) have incredibly thin walls and we were unfortunately housed next door to a rowdy late night group. Also the free wifi was a bit temperamental. Regardless of these issue we would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Marignan was a lovely place to stay. While not fancy, the price and the value more than make up for that. It is located very close to a number of metro stations, and also walking distance to a number of major attractions.
On top of the convenience of location, the staff really are brilliant. Each and every one I encountered on my five night stay were helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: It doesn't have a lift, so if you cannot walk up a lot of stairs, ask to be placed on one of the...

I have been staying at the Marignan since 1990 and always go there when I visit Paris. I love the location, the affordability, and most of all, the wonderful owners and staff who always go out of their way to make this my "home away from home". I have been recommending the Hotel Marignan to my family and friends for the past 21 years!

Room Tip: If climbing stairs is a challenge for you, request a room on one of the lower three floors. There i...

My wife and I spent two nights at the Hotel Marignan and were very happy. The service was excellent. Breakfast was great. The room was very clean and we even had a small balcony. The only issue for some might be the stairs we had to climb. It was not a problem for us but it might be for older or physically challenged visitors. The owners go out of their way to make sure everything is great. They were helpfull with local suggestions and really seem to care about their guests.
