At the end of the day a bookshop is a bookshop, but hey there is a bit of history to this one, and its just over the bridge from the islands that you be visiting anyway, and you might just pick up a bargain (there are certainly bargains to be had - try the book bins outside on the pavement first).
My lovely wife duly bought a book with her Visa card, and some slimeball took careful note of where she put her purse and what shelves she went to next, and maybe with the help of a colleague who may have distracted her in some way in this crowded quite pokey little bookshop, . . . when we got home soon after, the zip up purse inside the zip up shoulder bag was devoid of money, cards and drivers license. Very clever, didn't notice a thing. Not a nice feeling.
Be ever vigilant, take better precautions especially in any shoulder-to-shoulder situation because they are very very good at their job, and yes it could happen to you.
