Nice venue, very friendly staff and great service. Good atmosphere. In terms of food, I enjoyed my foie gras. Not so much the main course but probably my choice. Had some of my companion's Moroccan chicken, was good.

Went to this beautiful and cozy restaurant on a Thursday night. The atmosphere was really good, nice and beautiful people all around. The lighting was very inviting as well (super important for a girl, one wants to look good no?!) We had great wine, the food was FANTASTIC and for dessert you MUST get the mi cuit. It's heaven on a platter.

Really great spot!!!

As the weather last weekend was so awful we ate here twice on our weekend break as it is just across the road from the lovely hotel le mareuil. The food was excellent the gambas ravioli is worth trying as is the sweetbreads. Some reviewers had had problems with the filet steak, but remember the French do not age their meat. So you should order it rarer than you would in the UK.
Its not a very big restaurant so you must book beforehand as it gets very busy.

I had the pleasure of inviting my boyfriend and some friends to celebrate my birthday at Le Chemise a few months ago. The hotel had recommended this well hidden, little gem and we sure weren't let down. From the moment we entered the restaurant we felt the intimate and personal atmosphere that one is always looking for, when in Paris. The two Guys that own and run the place, one entertaining and serving the guests and one running the kitchen, gave us a very enjoyable evening. Food, unpretentious and tasty - no foam og fancy chemical experiments here. All prepared by the Chef who, through a gap in the wall, always kept an eye on the guests and even communicated with us during the meal with little sign and winks - it felt like having your own private Chef who really cared about you and the food he sent your way from his kitchen.Everything was so well prepared and presented. Service was absolutely impeccable - knowldgeable and attentive. We could not have wished for at better place to dine in Paris, and we can not wait to go back on our next visit not long away. Le Chemise is absolutely worth a trip on the Metro to the Oberkampf stop, which is located almost right at the restaurant doorstep. Enjoy - we sure did.
