Had a lovely Sunday brunch here. Wonderful egg dish, "eggs in a blanket" with a side of the famous bread from Poilane next door. A great neighborhood spot.

Great for lunch.
Lovely atmosphere.
Fresh, yummy food with very reasonable price.
Located in the middle of great shopping spot, Maje, Sandro, Reppetto, Bon marche etc.
Right next to Poilane-my favorite paris bakery.

We had lunch, they have the famous bread from their neighbour Poilane. The sandwiches and soups are really delicious. The only negative was that my friend, who ordered a soup, asked for another slice of bread (just a plain slice) and had to pay 2 euro's for it.

Let me preface this by saying "j'adore" a good tartine. Cuisine de Bar's are excellent. There are a variety of toppings to suit a multitude of palates. Will satisfy a fussy four year old and a foodie friend at the same meal. My favorite is the for'bon (ham and cheese done perfectly). The smoked salmon is an excellent lighter option.
Their formule dejeuner is an excellent deal. It includes a salad or soup (I am working on recreating their mustard dressing!), a tartine, a glass of wine or sparkling water, and a coffee with a little biscuit.
The service was great at the Cherche-Midi location. Everything was brought promptly but our meal was timed perfectly. It was a mix of visitors and local Parisians. I loved the communal and comfortable atmosphere.
Will definitely return.

Right next to the Poilane bakery on rue cherche-midi. It is a sleek, small, modern cafe specializing in (of course!) pain poilane. Either a great, reasonably priced breakfast (8.50 to 10 Euros) stop with hot toasted poilane and absolutely delicious jams+hunks of butter. Or for lunch with a large selection of tartines, slabs of poilane with different toppings at an average of 12-13 euros.

Nice to have another type of peaceful morning option in Paris. And if you've never sampled poilane, a great little place to start.

On Tuesdays and Fridays an open air morning market is located just nearby on Blvd Raspail to add to the ambiance of the 6th.
