I found the hotel by walking past it during a previous visit. What a pleasant surprise! We stayed in the HUGE family room, which exceeded our expectations given the typical Paris hotel rooms. Rooms are clean and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Within easy walking distance to Metro stations as well as the Roissybus from Charles de Gaulle Airport. Some street noise, but not excessive.

Room Tip: Nr 11 is a big family room for 5 people.

I found this hotel 21 years ago by sheer luck. It is situated in the best location for touring the city. Almost all the hotels in the area are very expensive. It is still a family owned hotel and therefore you do get very good service. If you are looking for lots of frills then I would suggest THE GRAND HOTELS but here you get good service good location and reasonable Paris hotel prices. The staff speaks many languages including english and are very helpful. It is true the hotel has some faults bu tyou are not paying 350 or more a night and you are only using the hotel to rest and sleep . This hotel can not be beat as far as location price friendlyness towards clients etc

If you are looking for a luxury stay in the middle of Paris, this hotel is not for you. However, if you are planning a long sightseeing weekend, in this magnificent city, with your hotel only being a place to put your head down at night, then you couldn't pick a better place.

Pop your head out the hotel door, look left and there is the Lourve. Walk to the Lourve through the arches, and you are at the start of the Champs-Élysées, which leads all the way to the Arc de Triomphe. What a start to the day.

My wife and I stayed on the top floor of the hotel. The room was clean, adequate and was equipped with limited TV, fitted hairdryer and a good hot shower (see photos) but no safe. It is one of those places where at first you think..ok as you enter..but it quickly becomes home and you will thankful for how central you are to central because Paris does not disappoint.

The continental breakfast for €10 per day per person, sets you up for the day. It incudes rolls croissants, cereal, tea, coffee and orange juice.

My only word of warning about the hotel is that the lift is tiny. If you are claustrophobic or need use of a wheel chair, the lift may be a problem. The corridors also have little the odd steps which could frustrate wheel chair users trying to access their rooms. (I hasten to add, this may only be the top floor that has these odd steps). Even though we were on the top floor, my wife refused point blank to enter the lift. Also be prepared to shove the inner doors open yourself. I just thought how....Parisian and loved the quaint little elevator. (Copy and paste utube video link of lift at...http://youtu.be/aY7CZdVh9AI)

For Paris first timers, worried about getting into the centre of Paris from CDG airport, this is one easy option. From the airport go to the bus terminal. From the vending machine get a €10 "Royces" bus ticket and wait at the Royces Bus Stop. Validate your bus ticket upon entering the bus. This bus takes you, without stopping, all the way to the back of Le Opera House. Go around the front of the Opera house and follow Opera Boulevard (if you see a starbucks, your on the right road) all the way down and turn left at the water fountains. The hotel is up 50m on your right hand side. If you are lost just ask for directions to the Lourve. This is a leisurely 10 min walk and a lovely way to reach your hotel.

The hotel is well located in the heart of the first arondissement. Rooms are clean. From what I saw the hotel has not seen any major renovation in the past 20 years. Sound proofing is OK, though, with regard to the street noises. The elevator may well be 100 years old and thus is an attraction in itself . During my stay there was no hot water, but this seemed to be uncommon.

This is a modest hotel, but very clean, well maintained with helpful, friendly staff. If you are looking for a good place to sleep and take a rest during the day, and want a location from which you can walk to most major Paris sites, and want a good price, this is an excellent choice. The area right out of the front door is interesting with the Lourve and the Palais Royale right there. Elevator is tiny!

I have stayed in this hotel the last 4 times I have been in Paris. It cannot be beat for location for the money. If you do not feel that you need luxury but ambiance then this is the best place. The staff are wonderful and provide clean and neat room. The redecoration that had taken place was wonderful surprise and very well tought out.

A decent budget hotel but quite loud at times, was woken many times during our stay. Breakfast was 10E per person and was good value for the money. Room was clean, beds a little small but the room itself was the largest we had seen on a 3 week Euro trip.

Location was great, only two blocks from the Louvre and about 10-15 minutes walk from the Champs-Élysées. We were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower, Hôtel National des Invalides & Notre Dame but these were a little further.

Staff friendly and happy to help.
