We stayed here in the larger of the two guest rooms for the entire second week of June this year, referred here by the host’s friend who also runs a B&B, which was fully booked for that time. How fortunate for us. Although this B&B is relatively newly established and thus had few reviews, I was sold by owner Didier’s effervescent warm personality as soon as I talked with him on the phone.
The pros: host Didier, a lively conversationalist full of interesting info/recommendations about Paris, and his lovely wife Valerie; a secure beautifully appointed/decorated spacious room with super comfortable king size bed; a very nice modern small bathroom (shower and sink) artfully added on to the room (shower with a fabulous shower head); a gorgeous daily breakfast of fresh croissants, artisanal bread, jams, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee/tea prepared by Didier; location a block away from the Metro.
The neutrals: noisy street, but after all this is Paris and we adjusted by the second night (keeping the windows closed resolved the issue); WC directly across the hall from our room and shared with other guest room, kept meticulously clean; some minor details, which we mentioned to Didier and which he intended to remedy.
Would absolutely stay here again.More
