“Central Location - Clean - Comortable - Great Staff”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Stayed for 4 nights in a Junior Suite. Great room for a family. The room was clean, comfortable and large (not always the case in Central Paris). The hotel is in a good location for exploring Paris and is only a 10 minute walk (in a safe area) from the Opera Garnier. There are a few good Metro stations within a 2 minute walk to help get around Paris - St Lazare is the closest. The staff are great. Very helpful and helped me get printed versions of tickets bought online with minimal fuss. Great to have free internet access and WiFi in your room. We did not eat at the hotel but the breakfast room was clean, and the food looked good. Would recommend this hotel for couples and families.

Room Tip: If your budget allow then get a Junior Suite. Gives you more room and is more than confortable for a...

My friend had a medical emergency, having left his heart medication at home. Marly, the hotel conscierge, who spoke excellent English, helped us get a fax of the prescription from the states, and directed us to a pharmacy to get the prescription filled. She got us into a room an hour early, so we could rest after our long flight from the midwest of the U.S. The room overlooked the courtyard dumpster, but was clean and had everything we needed. The next time I take an overnight flight to Paris, I will book a room for the night before, so when I arrive at 8 a.m. the room will be available. This place appeared to be fully booked, as it was Easter week. She gave us a room in the back, but we could still hear some street noise occasionally. The hotel is right across the street from the St. Lazarre station, so it is very convenient.to trains, metro, buses. Nobody much seemed to eat in the breakfast room. The bathroom had a heated towel rack. There is no clock in the room. On television there is only one English speaking show, all the rest in French. The hotel sent a driver to pick us up at the airport. He complained that it took us a lot longer than he expected to go through customs and find him outside the baggage claim area. I was glad we had a driver pick us up, as the hotel is almost hidden next to a restaurant, and is hard to spot, having just a small sign above the doorway.

I have been in this hotel recently. This is NOT a 4 stars hotel (at best 2). The hotel is in the ugly side of the square (surrounded by low cost restaurants and a fast food), the entrance, not easy to find, and the hall are not the ones you expect to find in a 4 stars hotel. The clean room had only an internal window and it was noisy (at 5 a.m. the elevator started working continuously, and you can heard trucks from the street). The clerk was not really keen to solve client’s problem but instead seams to be there only because obliged.

I don't have anything to complain about except for one thing. I'll get back about that later in the text.

This is situated close to the huge stores Lafayette and Printemps. If you arrive by flight to Charles de Gaulle, you can easily take the bus to the Opera and then walk 5 minutes o the hotel. Very convenient! Most of the Metro lines are close by and you can also walk to Sacre Coeur in Montmartre in 15 minutes.

The room we had at the fifth floor was nice. Since I travelled with my son, we had two beds and they were good! The bathroom was clean and nice with a shower that seemed to have been installed quite recently. Everything felt really fresh!

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that you only could get one wifi access/room. In my opinion that is old fashioned. Still I wouldn't mind staying here again since it was so clean and situated in the middle of everything!

Good location for transit, lots of metro and train options at Gare St Lazare across the street.

Breakfast is a bit expensive, we purchased supplies at the grocery stores at the train station.

Very helpful staff with directions and itinerary ideas.

First impression was not great: in front of Gare St. Lazare, with the hassle and bustle, somewhat dirty plaza. However, once inside the hotel, things turned for the better. New, roomy, clean, functional, I even had two balconies at my room. Proximity to best shopping, walking distance to Opera Garnier, Grands Boulevards, great brasserie across the street. I was overall pleased and would stay agai. I would recommend this place to friends.

A friend and I went to Paris for a few days and found this great little hotel on a price comparison website. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The room was huge and very clean and tidy as was the bathroom. We didn't realise that breakfast wasn't included and this was also not made clear at check in. Breakfast was 12 euros per head whilst it was nice this was rather steep for what it was so breakfast out may be a better option. Over all there is little to fault this hotel on, it is in a great location, there are lots of bars and shops within walking distance and the Saint Lazare metro stop is less than a minutes walk from the hotel.
