My husband and myself stayed there for a two night break on the occasion of our wedding anniversary.

The hotel is located in the best area of Paris if you want to be a stone away from all major cultural venues.
The premise is a dream in itself...
If i could describe it in one word - outstanding warmth.
From the amazing scent floating 24/7 (had to buy a spray home; -P ) to the warm tones of the interior design, and amazing room with more amazing bathroom cloud like bed and balcony giving on the place vendome, to the exquisite breakfast passing to the wonderful attentive and warm staff (ok..you are paying quiet a lot of money but still..some luxury hotels can give you an unpersonal feeling..)
Most of all the Concierge staff is the most amazing helpful laidback in a professional manner, giving impressive attentive service and
warm hospitality. The hotel doesnt come cheap but I it is worth every single euro.
It was difficult to get back home :) can't wait for an occasion to get back!

We were in Paris in December and rented a apartment then flew to Morocco for two weeks and had a one night layover in Paris from Marrekech before heading back to Chicago, and I earned a free night stay at a Hyatt during a promotion in the USA from thru Dec15. I could not believe they allowed my to book my reward at a luxury property, but what a treat. Our Apt we rented was on the opposite bank nearer the Pompidou which we love that area a lot. I have been to Paris many times over the years and have stayed all over the city.

I travel 4 star in EU and USA for work, but for leisure this would not be my choice for my both my style and the euro/usd, unlike going to the Mandarin in Bangkok is a value if you know what I mean.

This is a lovely serene and luxurious property that has no faults in any manner. Its beautiful, the rooms are cozy, well appointed, very quiet, and the bathrooms are fantastic, my wife took 3 baths in 2 days :), But after Morocco you would too, as were backpacking in the desert...haha

Not sure if anyone booking this hotel would even check trip advisor as the this level hotel goes without saying its a gem, and being on the Vendome next to the Ritz, as well as the Opera, its just magical. Its snowed while were there, and this area is so Parisian and sophisticated, its just perfect.

If you want to enjoy a cozy and classic french cuisine, head to Le Coup Chou. Also the Steak Tar Tar at Le Colbert is the best I have had in my life, and spend 8 months a year entertaining for business from NY to Milan..

The only problem with a property like this, is the prices of everything in Euro is hard to fathom, as breakfast was 40 Euro a head...$60 USD PP for a buffet...YIKES!

We debated for an extrememly long time on which Paris hotel to stay in. We had been to Paris several times before and chosen boutique hotels, usually in the 6th arrondisement. We decided to move up a notch this time round and were debating between the Park Hyatt, De Crillon, Le Meurice, etc. After much painstaking research, including asking some French colleagues who go there for business, we decided on the Park Hyatt. And boy were we glad on this decision.

The hotel exudes an intense amount of understated luxury and opulence downstairs. It does not have the grand 18th century lobbies of the other hotels above, but i dont particularly like that "grand" style. The Park Hyatt is classic contemporary in design and more akin to a lush and understated luxury home in the heart of Paris (and it really is in the heart of Paris). My wife said the bed was like sleeping on a cloud.

The rooms - we were fortunate on both stays here (we left in the middle of our holiday) to go to another country) to have been upgraded from their entry level queen to a deluxe king. The rooms we had were extremely large by Paris standards, with high ceilings and views into the beautiful interior courtyard. The bathrooms were bliss with its beige sandstone/marble and ample space. The heated floors in the bathroom were welcome given this Christmas was one of the coldest ever in Paris.

The service is true Park Hyatt style - professional, courteous, discrete and extremely well manicured. No stuffy or snooty "older generation" service that I was worried about in the "grand" hotels.

We did not have the food at the hotel as of course the one downside of a place like this is that the costs can be exorbitant. And with so much good food in Paris we were not so keen to pay an arm and a leg for breakfast.

Overall, we will stay here again on any future visits to Paris. This is really first class all around.
