The hotel is beautiful, room is spacious and gorgeous, equipped with nespresso machine. In general, service is great. However, one little incident really turned me off. I inquired about taking the train to the airport, and the front desk told me that the train is not operating (not true). She said, I can take the bus or taxi, but the bus will take too long. Well, honestly, the bus stop is right outside of the hotel, maybe 5 min walk. I appreciate that a lot of clientele in this hotel probably will take a cab without batting an eye, but fair options should be spelled out to customers. I later found out that the train was actually operating, not sure why she would say such thing. I wrote an email to the general manager and he just wrote a fairly generic apology letter. Not the same experience I had in park hyatt Tokyo.

Dear Faye W,
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review. I apologize for the misunderstanding. The train isn't operating on Sundays as they are works until the end of the year; it is however opertaing normally on the other days of the week. I deeply apologize this was not explained in full by our team, and I hope we will have the occasion to restore your faith in Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme very soon.

With Best Regards,

Alessandro CRESTA, Hotel Manager.

The location is amazing- located in the opera district, only a short walk to many of the museums and sights. We arrived to the hotel a little after 1 and the staff went above and beyond allowing us to check in early. We were given two connecting corner rooms overlooking the interior courtyard. The rooms were very large for paris standards and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the wifi was fast. We enjoyed the attention to detail each member of staff displayed. While the gym was quite small and a little outdate, the spa was wonderful with steam room, sauna, and hot tub.

Room Tip: corner room

Spent 5 days there in late Sept. 2013. Hotel is in a very good location, easy walk to Seine, Tuileries Garden, Louvre, Orsay, L'Orangerie, Opera, Galleries Lafayette, etc. Stayed in a suite with breakfast included, and breakfast was very good: large assortment of cereals, fruit, juices, pastries beverages, etc., and eggs cooked to order. Room was large with 2 bathrooms and espresso machine. Welcomed us with great wine and macaroons in the room. There were a few drawbacks to expensive rate: the carpet in the elevator lobby and hallway on our floor (3rd) was getting a little tired, as was the carpet and furniture in our room. However, the bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms new and modern with separate showers. The room was very quiet, we never heard another guest the entire time we were there, and the hotel was full due to Fashion Week. Also, while the French have outlawed smoking in restaurants, for some reason they haven't yet in hotel rooms; and while we requested and got a no smoking room, after 2 nights a smoker must have occupied a room nearby, because there was a heavy smell of smoke in our room from then on - we had to sleep with the windows open at night to dissipate the odor. The only thing we could surmise was the smoke may have gotten in to the ventilation system. The staff was very accommodating, but the smell persisted. All in all though, an excellent hotel with friendly employees, good food, and walk friendly location. Would definitely return.

Dear Bud T,
Many thanks for taking the time to write such an enthusiastic review about our hotel. Fashion week is indeed not an easy period for our guests and I am glad to hear your stay was as peaceful as expected, despite the hotel occupancy at that time. Thank you as well for such a great eye for details, indeed we plan to replace the corridor carpets when the occupancy of the property gets lower.
Concerning the smell of smoke, I am deeply sorry about the inconvenience. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms, however if guests happen to smoke anyway, we make everything possible to make the smell disappear. I am sorry you stil had to experience this inconvenience and hope it did not impact your faith in our hotel.

We look forward to welcoming you again very soon,
With Best Regards,
Alessandro CRESTA, Hotel Manager.

Such a wonderful hotel. Staff (both male and female) is such beautiful and professional. Gym is quite small and lacks of equipments, but spa is very private and professionally managed. Not quite sure toiletry is good enough to match with the label of hotel though. Food and bar are just more or less okay, not standing out. Can't say location is superb, but it's in the middle of luxury Vendome district, so you can enjoy luxury shopping. Need to walk at least 15 mins to reach tourist spots, but a few department stores are nearby. Great for shopping but a bit of hassle for sightseeing.

You can't beat the location of the Park Hyatt in Paris - walking distance to the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, the Opera etc etc. And the staff inside the Hotel are very good. But where they really struggle is at the front door. It's not just the standards of the different people at the door; which varies widely from great to rude, it's the chaos of the parking out the front, getting a taxi, who gets you one, what number am I in the queue? It's just a mess. It's fine if you are walking everywhere but if you have to get taxis around, and who doesn't, good luck.
