I stayed there in June, it was very easy to find, the hotel and the staff were really nice. I read reviews saying the street were the hotel is located it gets very noisy at night, but it was not the case. The metro is less than 5 min away and you have supermarkets and also restaurants around. I will definitely go there again. A very intimate little place.

I wanted to rate this higher but I just couldn't! It was distinctly average, and not amazing value for money. Very old fashioned, although the bathroom seemed to have been renovated and didn't match the room at all. The room was ok, quite small but enough space for a short stay. The lift was very rickety and like getting into a coffin - we weren't sure if we would get out once we got in! I had read that there was free tea and coffee in the lobby but actually there was just an old machine that ate our money. Location was a plus though, on a nice little street and well connected. Not sure I would stay again but it was okay.

We stayed during the month of November. Although the decor in our room was dated we had a fabulous bathroom with amenities. The breakfast every morning consisted of several cheeses, cold cut meets, croissants, yogurts, cereals, juices coffee and/or tea.
The front desk was exceptionally helpful.
The elevator is very small with the ability to hold maybe 2 people with small luggage. You have to pay 2 Euros per day for wifi.
The bed was hard but that is typical of Europe.
This hotel is easily accessible by metro. There are grocery stores and restaurants close by.
Our first evening there we walked to Notre Dame cathedral which took us about 20 minutes.

We stayed here in early November 2013 and were really happy with everything - the hotel is on the northern edge of the Marias, but close to Gare du Nord etc. hence quite mixed but you make the choice of where you stay. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, the buffet breakfast plenitful and really good, and the bathrooms newly refurbished and fantastic (lashings of hot water at all times). The hotel manager advised us the rooms / hotel were in the process of full refurbishment so some areas still a bit shabby but the important things seem to have been done. Always felt safe and comfortable on our stay - a real haven after walking and cycling the streets of the city.

Supermarkets around, some good restaurants, bars locally but only a 30 minute walk to the Seine so loads more places to choice from. Metro less than 5 minutes walk away

Room Tip: Not pariticularly noisy generally (on side road) but back is probably quieter - no views from either...

I've read the negative reviews on here. I have to say that I was very happy with my stay and experience. The hotel is in a great location. The metro is a few steps away, with easy access to Gare du Nord station for transfers to Eurostar and the RER train to CDG airport. There are a few grocery stores nearby if needed. The Seine is a doable walk, which I did twice to get to the Louvres, Notre Dame, and the Latin Quarter. There are restaurants and shops around, however I did get a metropass for two days to travel around, so it didn't really matter. There were a few sketchy people around, but we found that everywhere, so we were just always cautious. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. When we needed something one night it was brought up to our room. Our room was cleaned every day. The bathroom was very nice. The shower had a glass door and good pressure. The TV was good although we watched a lot of BBC news at night. Paid for Wi-Fi for one night, 2euros, and it worked perfectly. There was a fridge offering drinks for a cost, but there was also a bit of room for us to store stuff. The room was quiet and we had no issues. They did have breakfast but we never tried it as opted to eat out. The staff helped us arrange a car to the airport which was very reasonably priced. We left the luggage in the luggage room and it was alright. The only negative was the elevator. It was coffin sized and we opted for the stairs. All in all it was what I expected for the price paid. If you want a hotel in a better area with more perks, then you have to pay more. I'd be happy to stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights it's slightly odd as we had a beautiful new bathroom but a very tired old bedroom. I found the bed quite uncomfortable and wouldn't have wanted to stay longer but the room was clean and the staff were friendly. It's not the nicest area but it's only a two minute walk from the metro which was convenient, there's also restaurants and a supermarket very close by. It's a good base for exploring Paris.

This hotel is tatty, spoiled Paris for the kids, had money stolen from my room. Air conditioning kicks in halfway through the night. No room to move. Reminded me of the bunk bed hostels in London. Some staff were helpful and some downright rude. 3 star rating can only be for its comparatively "cheap" rates. I choose the word cheap deliberately as it sums it all up. 1st floor windows locked and the staff said for our safety we should keep them locked!!

Room Tip: Spend the extra money and upgrade or camp
