Even though having lived 3 months in Paris, Lisa showed us some hidden Parisian treasures I had never heard of! It was a delightful experience spending an afternoon in her company and the other truly friendly tour participants. The owners of the small shops all know Lisa and you are treated by them as if you were a regular. Absolutely impossible as a normal tourist, I can tell you. I highly recommend taking this tour and experience a different and tasty side of the city of light and in Lisa's great company! Bon appétit, messieurs-dames

My wife and I came to Paris to celebrate her birthday (which was today) and I couldn't think of a better way to spend it. Lisa met us at the church of St. Germain des Pres and we started with a little history of the church and the neighborhood. The next three hours had us sampling the best that Paris has from macroons and baguettes to olive oils and chocolates. Throughout the tour we learned a tremendous amount about the surroundings, the people and the proprietors. We ended the trip, three hours after we started, at the market with a tasting of various cheeses and a glass of Burgundy. There were several out of the way spots we stopped at that we would never have found ourselves and will likely be the focus of a second visit. Lisa was very well acquainted with all the places we visited and the shopkeepers all knew her by name. I would highly recommend this tour. Lisa was fantastic! I'll definitely be telling my friends back home about this outing.

With Lisa I visited places that no tour would not have known in Paris: cheese, wine, chocolates, olive oils. Hmm all very tasty! And Lisa will also tell about the history of each place visited.

Took the Flavors of Paris tour with Lisa last Friday and can recommend the tour to anyone interested in an entertaining and delicious taste of Paris. The tour focuses on the St Germaine des Pres area with a combination of its history and food highlights. We visited a boulangerie, patisserie, chocolatier and market, among other places. The tour moves at a comfortable pace and Lisa is a most agreeable guide. A lot of fun and a memorable feature of our visit to Paris.

Get to know Parisian culture by walking its streets and tasting its foods. "Meet me by the red door of the church around the corner from St. Germaine Metro," Lisa told us. It had been raining lightly, but the tour went on past some of Paris' finest shops and along historic boulevards, as Lisa introduced us to the historic left bank area just west of the Sorbonne. On rue de Seine Gerard Mulot’s Michelin starred patisserie is a feast for the eyes, nose and mouth. The staff welcomed us, a tribute to the rapport Lisa has established here and at other stores we visited. Lisa purchased a selection of macaroons and other memorable prized treats. Then a turn onto rue de l’Ancienne Comedie brought us to Paris’ oldest café, Procope where Voltaire, Napoleon, and Franklin drank, played chess and plotted the downfall of aristocracy. Through the alley you enter a hidden heaven: Un Dimanche a Paris, the most amazing chocolatier imaginable. Chocolate everything. Our two hour tour turned into a three hour feast that captured Paris in the 20s at Les Deux Magots and Brasserie Lipp and ended in the present with a thorough tour of the remarkable Marche St. Germaine, ending with wines and three flights of three cheeses.
