we stayed in paris for 6 nights at clauzel hotel, it seems to be very small but all paris hotels are very tiny. the room, elevator and bathroom were hardly bearing two persons. i bet that they couldn't even fit a fat person :). but overall it was very clean and comfortable maybe they in a need for providing more aminities in the bathroom but it was ok
it was very near of sant george metro station, walking distance for moulin rouge street, and you can see the dome of sacre coeur church.
in the street there are many of pharmacies, groceries and very delicious french bakeries for breakfast.
the breakfast in the hotel was so poor, so i guess with the same value u can get more fresh and delicious meal.
we booked through booking.com which was more cheaper than the hotel rate.

finally for a comfortable bed with clean bathroom just to rest after a long day touring lovely paris i surely recommend it.

Stayed for 4 days while sightseeing in Paris. Great value and location near gare du nord and sacre coeur. 15 minute walk from gare du nord. Turn right when you leave station and go on rue condorcet then rue des martyrs. If you want to take a cab it should cost about 6-7 euros only. The staff are nice, rooms are small but spotlessly clean. We had a triple room, 2 large windows and the view from the balcony is true Paris. The street can be noisy at times but we slept there and showered. Nice neighborhood - quick walk to shops, cafes. Sacre coeur is a 10 - 15 minute walk but watch out for very aggressive hustlers in front of it. Breakfast at hotel ok but we picked up fruit and bread etc from the many tiny shops that are 1 minute from hotel. Staff were mostly very nice especially the female owner and her family. Be prepared for no air conditioning, 100 steps to the 5th floor and a coffin like quality to the tiny elevator. Great value and would stay again!

A reasonably hotel in a nice neighbourhood. It took me just 15 minutes to walk from Gard du Nord station. I think the nearest metro station is St George however the station is not on a direct line to most of the tourist attractions. My room on the 5th floor has a view of the Sacre Couer which was very nice in the night. The lift is really small, it can barely hold 2 people. The staff are very friendly and speaks fairly good English.

Wonderful little hotel with nice rooms in a quiet part of town! Staff is very helpful and speaks English. Metro is 4 min walk, St Lazare train station is 15 min walk. Nearby there are some small cafes, Starbucks and a good food market.

Hotel Clauzel is an ok value for the money - meaning the location is quite nice, in Montmartre, around 3 mins walk to the metro station (Saint-Georges) and within walking distance from Sacre-Coer (and even Louvre if you are the walking type of tourist). Right on the same street there are 4 or 5 terraces where you can enjoy Parisian atmosphere over some food and drinks.
The room is decent in size and clean (cleaning is done on a daily basis), has carpet on the floor, plasma TV and comfortable bed.
However the overall look is quite old, the window was half broken meaning you could shut it only if you learnt a special trick and leaving it open is not a choice as most rooms are facing the street and you cannot imagine the morning noise (cars, scooters, rubbish collectors etc.). Plus, one night, there was one big argument between three ladies who were screaming, swearing and fist beating for almost 30 mins on our floor - nobody from the hotel staff came to calm down the spirits.
The furniture was not part of one single set: part was newer, part older; the heater and the hair-drier were ancient (I haven't seen one of those for quite some time), the bathroom mirror was rusted and, in the first day, there was a strong sewage smell in the bathroom (which got lighter but did not fade away after leaving the door and room window open).
All in all, the overall feeling could be easily improved with a small investment - for now, I cannot say I would come back even though the price was quite low.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is only 5 minutes walking away from Notre Dame De Lorette metro station. There are a lot of restaurants and coffee shop around the hotel. The staffs are really friendly and speak good English, which is really rare in Paris. The room has enough space however, the bathroom is small. The elevator can only fit one person with suitcase in it. The hotel provides complimentary wifi connection and there's a computer with internet connection to be used at the lobby.

Paris is not known for low prices and it´s a beautiful place to be nevertheless. A recent business
trip and the need for a not too expensive place to stay led me to Hotel Clauzel. First I called the hotel and what a friendly receptionist who directed me. It´s well located . Step out and there are loads of places to eat. Galleries Lafayette is just a walk away. So are the metro stations and the centre of town. There is this quaint practically one person lift to take you up. It´s mostly basic but decent. There is also the free WIFI. I always appreciate that. For the non french speaking though, you might miss English channels on the TV, but I could have gladly stayed there for a few more days.
