The food was absolutely delicious. Michele gladly translated any of the words we did not understand, so we knew exactly what we were ordering. We tried Fois Gras for the first time and were blown away at how fantastic it was. Served with gingerbread and fleur de sel, it was perfect. Our main courses were both excellent as well. I don't know how we did it, but we saved room for dessert, and had a raspberry and cream pastry that was so good, the chef caught me licking my finger after sliding it across the empty plate to get the last bit of cream. Hmmmm, so good!!!

This restaurant was awesome. The host was absolutely friendly, welcoming and committed to her job. She really took care of us and the result was an exquisite and delicious dinner.
The home made fois gras is a must, the meat I had was delicious and the dessert was just the charry on the cake!
Defenitely recommended, you won't regret.
Price is fair or maybe lower for the quality offered

We chose the restaurant by the hand of fortune in a Monday evening when the neighbours were all closed. We were very pleased with our choice as everything was just perfect! It is a very little and cosy restaurant run by Michele and a chef. The food is great and you can see it being prepared in front of your eyes. Service is friendly and you can feel just as home! We had fois gras, pulma (pork delicatese) and chocolate fondant; all of them were a delight to our senses! Book ahead as there are only a few tables. We were lucky to find one in a quiet and rainny evening.

We`ve discovered "La Mere Michele" while walking on Rue Surcouf, and decided to give it a try for lunch. Small restaurant - Paris style - but nicely decorated to make you feel confortable and cozy. We were immediately greeted by Madamme Michele who, realizing we were foreign tourists, welcomed us and promptly explained in details the entire menu in English.
Food is made with fresh ingredients, small but nice selection of wines - and we can say everything was really delicious.

By the end of the meal, we realized that Madamme Michele had lived for a long time in Brazil - and she will also be glad to assist customers in Portuguese as well :)
