We spent 5 nights at the Georgette, and we really loved our time there. The rooms are small by American standards, but comfortable and clean. The bathroom had a very nice rainshower with great water pressure. Friendly staff, and great location -- just down the street from one metro stop, about three blocks from another. Walking distance to the Pompidou museum as well as lots of restaurants and nightlife. Small closet and safe for your belongings, though not much in the way of storage (for suitcases and whatnot). Breakfast is 7 or 8 euros a person, but why bother when you can walk down the street to a Parisian bakery and get the most amazing pastries of your life? Price-wise, it was about the same as other boutique hotels in the neighborhood, and it was very charming. Request a room on a high floor - we had the 5th floor, and had no issues with street noise. Also know that the mattresses are quite firm.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 5th floor, and it was very quiet - no street noise.

My team and I want to say thank you for your great comment. We always do our best to satisfy our customers requests. As I see you didn't try our wonderfull breakfast ! Because if you did, you'd say that hotel Georgette pastries and bread are the best ever in Paris. As well as our freshly squizzed juices. You may try during you next stay with us.

This is a lovely hotel - clean, frech and modern with very sweet and helpful staff ( it is a one person team each day) . Rooms are small - but then that is the parisian way. My only gripe is the question of value - it is a steep price for what is a very simple ( and nice ) hotel product - for the same money one would probably be able to get a very nice serviced apartment in Paris - i.e more space etc.

Dear guest,
Thank you for you comment we are happy that you appreciate hotel Georgette. And well, we are completely agree with you but did a parisian apartment will offer you a situation as good as our ? A 24 hours reception and concierge service ? A fresh and well served breakfast ? Or an every day cleaning service ? I don't think so.
Maybe for you next trip to Paris you can book a deluxe room in our hotel. They are much bigger that the classic ones.

We spent 11 days in Paris, and the Hotel Georgette proved to be a marvelous place to stay. Not only is it conveniently located in the Marais and an easy walk to a number of Paris attractions, but the staff couldn't be better. Rates are good for being in central Paris (3d Arrondisement). Our room was not the biggest hotel room I've ever stayed in (although I've never seen a big room in Europe), but it was adequate. It was clean, well-appointed, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was good, perhaps a little overpriced (what hotel breakfast isn't?). The decor definitely on the contemporary side, so if you want oak paneling this may not be your place. But the highlight of the Georgette is their staff - you will not find friendlier, more helpful, more professional hotel staff anywhere. They are all fluent in English, and any request is handled smoothly and efficiently. Although they were all great, I have to give special recognition to Sebastien, who was just wonderful. When next we are in Paris, I have no doubt we will stay at the Georgette.

We are stumped as to why this hotel has such a high rating on tripadvisor. It was fine, but that's all. In the week prior to our visit we were in both Rome and London and stayed in very well located, spacious, clean, well appointed rooms in great hotels with high ratings that were less expensive than Hotel Georgette, so these comments are not due to the typical North American shock at European hotel prices and size. The location was fine but on a very busy street. Even with the window closed the street noise will keep you awake if you are a light sleeper. The room was quite small and not well appointed. There were no shelves for clothes, 6 hangers in a small closet which also contained the fridge and safe, and no place to store luggage. The bathroom has very little counter space. Housekeeping were not great, we returned to the hotel one evening and there were no towels, the coffee/tea was not replenished, and we were just about out of toilet paper...not fancy requests, just the basics! Overall, a let down.

Dear guest,
Thanks for your comment. We are very sorry for the trouble you had during your stay. This is not in our habits. The wellbeing of our clients is very important to us. Regarding noise, we have done our best considering our central location. All rooms are equipped with double glasses windows. For hangers, we give a minimum of 6 but you can always ask for more. Let me apologize again for the housekeeping. They usually don't forget those basics. We'll be pleased to welcome you again and maybe you will change your mind.

I stayed for five nights in a single room. Room was larger than typical in France, light and airy. The decor was modern, tasteful and clean. The bathroom was remarkable....huge tub, terrific shower, lots of room. This six-footer stretched out full-length in a hot bath every night to relieve the aching feet! Staff is very friendly, location is within a 5 minute walk of 3 Metro stations. A taxi stand and bike rental are in front of the hotel. A great find in Paris at a reasonable price.

Dear guest,
It's always a pleasure for us to read such a great comment. Thank you very much. We'll be pleased to welcome you again at hotel Georgette. Even if we have very nice bathtub, to relax after a long walk, don't forget your hiking shoes next time, it's kind of necessary in Paris.

I frequent Paris a lot and think I know the city pretty well and have stayed in various hotels in various arrondissement.

Location, location, location! Right bank 3rd arrondissement, at the edge of the Marais district. 5 minutes walk to Centre Pompidou and the metro Rambuteau. ~15/20 minutes walk to Cite (Notre Dame) Also about ~10/15 minutes walk (with your suitcases) from Les Halles RER B station. Why is this important? Because the RER B line takes you to Charles De Galles airport. The cheapest way (~10EURO 1 way) to get to and from CDG. (Although 15min walk is nothing, do think about how many suitcases you have. The Paris Metro and RAR is not too good with elevators and you have to take the escalators or even stairs sometimes, also Cobblestone street at Paris will be a bit tough on your suitcases rollers...)

The room, excellent in every way. New, modern and clean. The bathroom has a large bathtub with LED mood lighting. I really have nothing more to say. It is quite a large room (I was in a Deluxe Room) being in center of Paris. With a good deal, this boutique hotel is an excellent choice in Paris. With a good rate/deal, I will be staying here again next time in Paris which will be soon!

Maybe the hotel could comment on when this hotel was renovated, but it should be within these 5 years.
