A two night stay at the hotel was booked for our first wedding anniversary gift from my brother. The hotel was easy to find in a very chic and cool area of Paris. There are a number of bistros, bars and shops in the area. There's a small convenience stors opposite on the corner which was very handy for purchAsing bottles of waters and snacks whilst visiting the sites. The museum d'orsay is a ten minutes walk and the Eiffel tower 35 minutes,so it's in a good location. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. The bed was comfy and we had a room facing the street, but didn't expedience any noise on an evening. It was nice to wake open open the shutters and watch Parisian life!! The staff were very helpful and friendly. They stored our luggage after check out and organised a taxi for our journey back to the station. Couldn't fault the hotel at all.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in July 2013. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The room was just what we wanted, had enough space for everything and was beautifully decorated, very romantic which was perfect as my partner and I got engaged on the first night there! The hotel is situated on a busy street with lots of shops and not very far away from two tube stops. We didn't have any problems with the noise outside it was quiet enough for us to sleep well on all nights.

It was our first trip to Paris. And the hotel is well-suited for this purpose. Convenient raspolozhnie in the historic center of the city, helpful staff and clean, albeit small, rooms with good sound insulation. We took breakfast at the hotel and they did not disappoint, were quite tasty. Of the minuses except occasional problems with wi-fi and repair of elevators, which lasted 3 days.

We arrived early at the hotel and Pierre told us that we were very 'lucky' as our room had be refreshed and was ready for us. And so began the theme of our lucky stay and experiences in Paris over the three days that we stayed there.
From resturant & bar reservations (Pierre made them for us) to the people that we met and the things that we did.
Everything just clicked into place. I fell in love with paris all over again.
As for the room, it was a little difficult to navigate around the beds as the room was quite small but we knew what to expect and adapted quite easily.
The room was clean and tastefully decorated. Very Parisian chic...
The bathroom was clean and everything worked and was just what we needed. However for getting ready for an evening out....the lighting wasn't the best when applying make -up - but this is just minor compared how much we loved the hotel. I am very picky about where I stay and this hotel ticked all the boxes.
The breakfast was fab. I esp loved the place mats and the crockery. All very classy. Great way to start the day. The neighbourhood is cool. Quaint bars, resturants. We felt completely safe and everything was convenient.
And of course..I could not write a review without mentioning the fabulous Pierre. As all the reviewers have mentioned..his service was outstanding and he is well deserved of all the praise that he gets as he does work hard to make sure your stay is comfortable..and lucky ; )
Thank-you Hotel Saint Germain. I will be back.

I visited Paris with my 14-year-old daughter in late July, and we loved staying at Hotel Saint Germain. The location is ideal -- we walked to the Seine and the Louvre from there, as well as , to Musee D'Orsay, and the Eiffel Tower ... and one day took a longer walk along Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. For longer trips, the Rue du Bac subway stop was five minutes away. About three mornings while we were there, I went for a run first thing in the gardens adjoining the Louvre. Our room was very clean, comfortable and charming; it was nice to be able to open our window. Continental breakfasts were very good -- maybe a bit more cheese and pastries than I would like, mostly because I can't control myself around that type of food -- but you could just have yogurt and fruit if you wanted. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and accommodating. A bit of noise from hall was only downside -- we sometimes thought someone was knocking on our door, but it was the door beside ours. It was convenient having free Wi-Fi -- something we did not have later in our hotel in London. Room was a bit small, but we didn't mind at all; the charm of the hotel overall made up for that. Staying in this hotel added immeasurably to our enjoyment of our Paris visit -- thank you to the staff for a great visit. We hope to be back someday.

Room Tip: We had a room on the third floor on the street side of the hotel. We were not bothered by street noi...
