“Great location”

A all pretty boutique hotel in Saint Germain. The Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful and the location is excellent. The breakfast was great. Our room was quite small but the decor made up for it. Would definitely stay there again.

This was my second stay at the Hotel Saint Germain, the first time in 1996. It was even better the second time around with its beautifully renovated lobby, breakfast area, and modern fixtures. The staff is incredibly accomodating and friendly. The location on the Rue du Bac is as good as it gets. A five minute walk will bring you to the Seine, the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Bon Marche and access to all of Paris' amazing sites. My room was charming, the bed very comfortable, three closets, and I enjoyed my petit dejeuner delivered to my room each morning (worth the 5 extra euro). It was also very convenient having a pharmacie and a small market where I could find some "extras" just steps outside of the hotel. There is no where else I would rather stay in Paris.

Room Tip: My room was a "classic" room on the second floor. It was very pleasant with a garden view.

This hotel has been a great discovery. I hesitated to add my review as I would like to keep it as a secret. Slim..is GREAT!!!! Immediate response to inquiries and assisted me in planning my trip with my 18 year old daughter for a mother-daughter trip before she heads to university. There are many great restaurants in the area and you can walk everywhere, the Rue de Buc Metro is at the top of the street. Rooms i find are large by European standards and tastefully decorated in old world design. All staff members are welcoming ....
I will keep returning year after year .....

Although the room was small, it was full of character. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom although if you are more than an average sized person, you probably would not have fit in the shower! Staff was very helpful and friendly. We walked everywhere but is very close to subway station. The breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A total winner, fabulous location, gorgeous room which was quiet, pretty and very French. Air conditioning was handy, and bathroom was great! Very comfy bed, and every thing was spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was simple but lovely, the staff were extremely polite and helpful, and spoke perfect English, whilst allowing me to practise my not so perfect French!
The area had everything you could ask for with a great supermarket, metro stop and numerous cafes within 100m. We walked everywhere however, as it was much easier to do so than even we thought looking at a map, but the metro is great for the return trip at the end of the day!
Will be where I always stay from now on

Room Tip: we had a room in the courtyard, no view but also no road noise! at all!!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and spoke perfect English. The room was very small but had lots of character and was very nicely furnished. The wonderful wallpaper made it even better! The air conditioning was extremely effective, which we were extremely grateful for due to the 35 degree heat in late June! The bathroom (particularly the bathtub) was tiny, but clean and well-functioning. Good power from the shower. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice available, including very posh tea from around the globe! The best thing about this hotel is the location - 5 minutes walk from the Seine, just across the river from the Louvre, and in the heart of a chic and lively area full of interesting little boutiques and fabulous restaurants. We were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower in about 45 mins (probably a lot faster if we hadn't had to stop to sit in the shade every 2 minutes) and we walked to Notre Dame in about 20 minutes. Overall a delightful hotel, and I would recommend it to anyone of all ages, as long as you don't mind the small rooms. Would go back here in a flash, thank you very much, Hotel Saint Germain!

The hotel was clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. Would have liked a larger bed (had a double) and tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be a great improvement. Overlooking street, some noise from pedestrians and rubbish truck at night. Courtyard view may suit some better but then you miss the street view.
