“Best night in Paris!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

First off.....I was surprised to read the review from "anastomos". It just so happens I was at the table near by and her account of the night couldn't be further from the truth. She and her friend were rude and insisted on a table for 4, when a table for 2 was available. This is a small place, seating is in demand. They ordered ONE first course and ONE entree to SHARE. Catherine couldn't have been more accommodating. Their review should be removed from this site...it is not the truth!
My food and service was outstanding. Catherine is so friendly and takes the time to go over each item on the menu with you, and everything is seasonally fresh and tastefully prepared. I had the chicken, which was succulent ....and her homemade chocolate dessert. I will go back every trip to Paris and send my friends there as well. This is a must while in Paris !!!!

“"What a Find" - Reed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

Just got back from Paris and would like to recommend a great place for a truly enjoyable dinner experience. The menu has something for everyone and Catherine Reed is a gracious hostess as well as an accomplished chef. Choices change often, in sync with the market . Squash soup, beef cheek stew, and silken chocolate pie were a few of my favorites; and the bread, oh ,the bread! Delicious food and wine in a cozy little nook of a restaurant were a highlight of our stay in Paris. Catherine offers cooking classes which we also took.......educational and fun! All reasonably priced.

“Intimate little place with truly personal service and very good food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

Foodies, follow REED's progress and evolution. I want to love what Catherine Reed is doing here. REED is a truly wonderful little restaurant that Catherine oversees in every respect. The food is very good, but not out of this world. Service is all Catherine. Wine list is somewhat limited, but reasonably priced and provides good coverage for the daily menu. All in all, a very very pleasant dining experience, and REED offers an excellent value by Parisian standards.

“Just as we had hoped.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

We had the concierge at our hotel secure us a reservation at Reed in advance. The place was just as the Trip Advisor reviews stated and just as my wife and I had hoped. Small, charming (but not cloyingly so) and authentic. We went with our daughters and had a great meal. The owner/server is a Quebec City transplant who could not have been nicer. The kids want bread and butter? Boom! Bread and butter. (delicious bread). My wife and I wanted a suggestion for a bottle of wine? Perfect! A daily special, roasted leg of lamb, was fantastic, (special shout-out about the potatoes...something so basic, prepared so well.) Reed is a very small (make reservations) restaurant with a small but more than adequate menu in a comfortable setting. Truly an enjoyable experience. Our only regret? We skipped dessert to head of on a fruitless search for ice cream. We should have stayed put.

“Lovely Evening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

We had a great meal which had a home-cooked feel. The menu reflects what is available in the market so everything is fresh and tasty. You can actually watch the staff cook the meal--just has a great vibe!
