The hotel is very well located in the Heart of the latin quarter, right next to the Sorbonne University. The hotel is facing an almost idyllic Square with few restaurants. Walking distance to most spots in Paris.
The lobby is very spectacular decorated, but the rooms a classicaly furnish. The only weird thing would be the foldable doors to the bathroom?! The rooms are small, as expected, but comfortable. Breakfast is served in the cellar and is very good.
Overall a very good experience

We stayed at the Select between July 14 -19th. It was a great location just outside of the Sorbonne. There was easy access to the Metro and you are in walking distance to Notre Dame, Louvre and other great attractions.
The Rooms were a decent size with a Bath and hand held shower nozzle. They were made up and kept clean everyday. The concierge were very helpful and spoke good English when asked to. I can recommend this Hotel if you are travelling from Overseas. They are happy to book shows like Moulin Rouge etc for you. Will visit again.

Room Tip: all rooms are reasonable here.

Modern hotel with nice rooms and frendly staff. Very good location in the latin quarter and very little traffic outside. The breakfast was very simpel so we chose to eat breakfast at the resturant next to the hotel.

Room Tip: Very quiet at the top floor

The Select Hotel is in a perfect central location, easy walking to Louvre, D'Orsay and Cluny museums and Jardins de Luxembourg or Notre Dame and virtually next door to the Pantheon. ...Also a stroll away from cafes and lively restaurants around St Michel and St Germain. The hotel itself is in an attractive, small square with no traffic and very quiet. The decor is chic and modern using features of the original architecture brilliantly. Staff are helpful. It is modestly priced for its excellent features and breakfast is very good.

Our stay here was extremely enjoyable. We were able to catch the train from Charles De Gaulle Airport, directly to Luxembourg RER station which was a 5 minute walk away.

The hotel is set back from Blvd Saint Michel at the rear of Place de la Sorbonne. This little Place is perfect to sit outside and enjoy a wine or beer in one of the outdoor cafes that sit right next door to the hotel. On the eastern side of the hotel is the beautiful University building, however this is not a place where the students hang out.

Notre Dame is a short 10min walk (down hill) from the Hotel, with easy access to the Louvre and Rue De Rivoli shopping districts not that much further away.

Hotel itself was clean and pleasant, with nice artworks adorning the foyer. This hotel is very presentable and the staff were very accommodating to tired and jet lagged tourists. Most of the staff spoke English or were able to understand easily.

We went for the upgraded superior double chambre for the space and we were quite comfortable walking around the queen sized bed and two large suitcases. Rooms over looking Place de la Sorbonne have amazing views in the morning when it is sunny. Very French.

There is free wifi in the rooms, however the signal is poor. It allows you to check emails, check in online and book other items, but surfing is difficult at peak times.

We were extremely pleased with the service, size of the rooms and how clean they were. Our room also had block out blinds, for which we were extremely grateful for.

Negatives for us was the shower. There was no shower holder. Instead the bath had a hose that you could stand up in the bath and hold above your head. This is not ideal when trying to wash hair, or if you are over 6ft.

Would certainly stay again.

Room Tip: Make sure you order a superior room if you are carrying large suitcases. Rooms overlooking Sorbonne...

A lovely- very personal
Home away from Home
Clean and full of style.
the main quality is the hotels location
that it is PERSONAL and not luxurious
and descently priced.

Thats it- just to fill up 200 characters is a dubious requirement
but when reading ather views IU understand why!

I stayed 2 nights. The location is pretty good and the room (top floor) good too.

But a couple of things need sorting.

No drink making facilities in the room.

Having to iron my shirt in the entrance to the restaurant in front of guests having breakfast is just stupid! They had to meander past me to get through the entrance - I felt really embarrassed. Not even a room to iron things in - genuinely I was shocked at this arrangement.

We wanted to explore Paris after checking out. We were shown to the luggage room and left there with no supervision - in other words, we had total access to everyone's luggage and this really concerned us and made us think twice about leaving our own. This wasn't isolated as when we got there other clients were there on their own too.

So, great location. Lovely room but just overall a lack of attention to things that would have made our stay more in keeping with other hotels. (If I'm honest it felt a little like a posh hostel, which is a shame bearing in mind the decor etc)
