“Good location, quiet and charming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in mid-September. I was assigned room 302, the room was small but charming. The ceiling had wood beams and there was a large window that opens and looks out over Rue de Petit-Musc. The bathroom was quite spacious and had a large walk in shower. The hotel is on the corner of Rue Charles V and Rue de Petit-Musc. Just a 3 minute walk to the Sully-Morland Metro stop. If you walk away from the river on Rue de Petit-Musc you'll find Rue St. Antoine, full of shops and restaurants. Within a stone's throw of the hotel you'll find a laundrymat, a small grocery store, a patisserie, a cafe and a pharmacy. What else could you need? The street was very quiet, I slept with my window open and there was little to no car traffic. The concierge was very nice and willing to help out when I needed directions. I was within walking distance of Ile Saint Louis and Notre Dame. The hotel offered breakfast for 13 euros but I didn't partake. I would return to this hotel again.

Stayed at this hotel on Monday Oct 14th for two nights. The hotel is small but has been updated. Overall our stay was good! Bathrooms are great. Our friends had to stay in the annex which was updated but had mold around the windows. They ultimately touched up the windows with paint. Could have done that before we checked in since the painters were there anyway. We missed a lobby to sit together with our friends after a long day. The lobby is a desk with someone sitting there to help you. It is a place to sleep. Absolutely a great location. Staff was nice. Overall a good experience for a small hotel. If you dont want to be in the main building ask to avoid the annex. It is down the street a ways from the hotel. Little restaurant down the street which was truly french with good food just not a lot of atmosphere. Also a little pastry shop!

Room Tip: Request the main hotel. Not the annex.

We enjoyed our stay here, but know for the future to make sure we ask for a room NOT in the annex. Our first night unfortunately was in the annex -- which might appeal to some but wasn't what we wanted -- it was away from the main hotel, small (the bathroom was teeny tiny), dark and on the first floor so there was no privacy if you opened your shades and window. BUT, they then moved us to a lovely room on the third floor that was big and wonderful. We walked all over the city with this as our base. The staff was very nice. We ate breakfasts out instead of in the hotel because the breakfast room wasn't as appealing as an outdoor cafe (we like windows and seeing street life). We'll stay here again. The shuttle to the airport was also convenient (we made the mistake of taking a taxi from CDG to t he hotel...very expensive). Also, the hotel was recently renovated so it's really clean -- no grungy carpets and such. We like stairs (exercise) so while there is an elevator, we tried not to use it.

Room Tip: We prefer a room on an upper level in the main hotel ....not the annex.

Pleasant, comfortable hotel in a quiet location, but very convenient for Metro (two different lines) and within walking distance of the river and many famous sights. Lovely local restaurants nearby, as recommended by the friendly, helpful reception staff.

Located in a quiet neighborhood (except when all the nearby schools get out--wonderful! real Paris) this unpretentious little hotel is clean and modern with a very friendly staff. It is also just 2 blocks from the river, a 15 minute walk from Notre Dame, and a 10 minute walk from the charming Place des Vosges. While not cheap (especially for Americans, given the weak dollar vs Euro right now), it is not a bad value for expensive Paris. Don't miss the terrific neighborhood cafe right across the street (Le Temps des Cerises); you will probably be the only tourist there. We enjoyed our 5 nights at this hotel and would stay there again.

Room Tip: They have a very quiet room in the annex where we stayed. It is also dark, however, with no view.

We stayed a week at the Hotel Saint Louis Marias while in Paris this fall. It was perfect. The staff was cordial, helpful, and efficient. The whole hotel was newly remodeled and our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet! The bathroom was amazing. The location was within walking distance of many Paris attractions, with two metro stops within a few blocks. An extra was that it is located a half a block from a great little neighborhood cafe/restaurant, Le Temps des Cerises. We enjoyed several fine and affordable meals there during our stay. This is a gem of a hotel for a very reasonable price, considering it is in a big city and with such a great location.

The hotel is charming retaining the old world feel but having modern amenities. Loved the shuttered windows we could throw open with a view to the small cobbled street below . Away from the noise of the more touristy streets in the Marais but still close to all the cafes and restaurants. Could walk to Notre Dame, centre Pompidou and Louvre but two metro lines very close and easy to use. Staff very friendly and helpful speaking good English. We used the shuttle service to Orly airport which was excellent. The laundrette almost next door was a bonus. Room whilst not big had plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom was huge. The hot water in the morning was sometimes a little cool and took a while to come through. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The Marais area is special.

Room Tip: We were on the 2nd floor 201
